Re: Electrolux ER7926/1B Prod No. 925888655-01

    Hi Alan,

Most of the times it just happens by itself.sometimes they leave the door open for longer period i.e. while putting food in the freezer etc so it builds up with the ice.

I think the best thing is always ask the customer to defrost it manually(by switching it off for 24hrs)and then swith it back on.If the problem presists then investigate further.

I am not sure about this model but most Zanussi/Electroulx F/F come with a cutout sensor that needs replacing in case it goes.It has a sensor that is attached to the coil and then one of its wire has a small builtin fuse.

Testing the heater is like any heater just check for the resistance.

And lastly if there is a mechanical defrost timer then just turn it manually and see if the heater comes on,if it does not then the defrost time is gone.

    Hope it all makes sense.

    Regards

I suppose it depends on the Location. Here in london, we hardly get a very decent person like you mentioning.

Can you not send some nice customers down my way(lool)

I have a friend in Bolton who is a Parking Attendant and he says most people appologise for parking illegaly and promise not to do that again in the future AFTER THEY WERE GIVEN THEIR TICKETS!!!.
I wish that was the case in london

    Hi Ben,

You need the heat resistant glue that will not burn from heat.
I cannot remember the glue name but will let you know tommorow. as it is in the van.

As for the manual, cannot find that model, so the closest I got is BT2760.

Follow the link below and see if that is the right one.

Re: SMEG SUK91MFX – fan elements not heating

Is the fan itself turning? If it is and then no heat then most likey the element. Also visually inspection does not mean that it is ok it sometimes breaks from inside.

It is not easy on these cookers, so many screws to open, probably need two people.

Please switch the electrics off if inspecting.Otherwise better to call a pro if you are not confident. The resistance of the element is usually around 30Ohms(with the wires disconnected from it)

How many lights and which lights are flashing?

Also if you can give the full model or the long 85??? no.

If you say it is filling up water(and water is in the dishwasher) and then stops taking water in then the spray motor should kick in.

    Re: bosch sgs43a42gb/01 wont drain

I am afraid that accessing drain pump on D/W is much more difficult than the normal washing machines.

First thing is that disconnect the drain pipe off from the sink waste trap(if you have this kind of plumbing) and then drain it out to see if it drains

Also check if you can hear the drain pump running? and what kind of noise it is.Humming, no noise or normal?

Re: Indesit D61 Won’t stop cycling

Well what you do is take the drain pipe out from the sink(where it connects to the waste trap)If you have this kind of plubing though.

Put that in a bucket and then drain the water out to see if it drains.Sometimes it is just blocked at that point so worth checking and see how it goes.

    Hi Barry,

Is it draining the water out properly? If you turn the knob manually does it drain?

Sometimes If it cannot empty the water out then it will give you all sorts of problems.

Try to put water manually(by opening the door and with a buckett etc)just after it stops draining and see if the wash motor kicks in.we will then have better idea on what could it be

Re: Schreiber Integrated Fridge Freezer Problem – 2004290404

In that case it is better to switch the fridge freezer off for 24 hours and then switch it back on.There are good chances that it will be OK.

Reason why is that frost free systems have cooling system in the freezer that send cool air up in the fridge. If some reason like you leave the door open etc, the freezer will develop the ice which will block the airway or stop the fan from working, fridge will not cool for sure.

Do that and see how it goes.

Re: Buying an integrated tall fridge – any advice?

    I will be honest with you Don, I would not buy whirlpool fridge because;

They are making disposable fridges now a days that means you cannot do major repairs(Re-gas or compressor change)if it goes wrong. They use aluminum pipes that cannot be connected to the metal pipes unless you have a special big setup for this which I am sure most of the engineers don’t.

They are good company but just because of that reason,i don’t like them.
Also if you are spending £400 on whirlpool that means if you have to Re-gas it in few years time(which costs around £100 for other fridges) you may have to change it.

Also make sure that you get good ventilation for your fridge.

    Hope it make sense.
