fase, theres 2x options, get a tub from electrolux which i was able to do last time for 99inc vat, and charge about £60 for the labour, the spare tub came with decent built bearings, the knackered one that came out had nasty cheap unbranded types. had a look at a couple of old 1211s and aw1001s too when they first had sealed tubs, they still seem to be holding on ok, and have smae bearings as the ones in the spare part. my gut feeling is a huge batch of zanussis had poor quality ones fitted as a spec change for cost cutting on the 12070s as they all seem to be on the same 2x pnc codes
boschs that start wae/was will have screwed tubs.
select waa boschs have sealed tubs – not all mind, but remember most waa’s are the nasty ones, basic rule of thumb is if the door has the square handle lever, it should be avoided. if its got the D shape lever then theyre reasonable quality…

check spinner arms, or remove both main ones, for some reason these wp/ikea/ignis/dip/cda jobbies are very sensitive to any blockages in them

timeline modules are a bit expensive to hold in stock to swap out 😉
im hoping the intermittant operation points towards a variability issue, i.e an environmental/user actuatation. it still nags me that should it be a module fault, id get the same problem consistantly… ???

11 should be the hottest as its the cottons one, i wouldnt say which was hottest to her, as my experience of customers, if they get wind your trying to work out if they are at fault, then they will lie to save face, rather than be honest and accept its their fault.
other option is to go there as a last call of the day, make sure she has tea and biccys and put a wet couple of towels in, spin them at full speed, then set it to sensor dry dryest setting and chill there. ive had to do that with one customer, would have been utterly dull if it wasnt for sky sports and a 40-something inch plasma he fortunately wanted to show off 🙂

why the heck do these machines never make sense… gonna try an interlock as soon as i can find one to chav off a scrap machine, as thats the only thing i can think of that could be affected intermittently, paid out about £45 on trade spares for this so far, so not spending any more until ive got it sorted, and therefore cant really afford to write it off as i know this cust is the sort that buys something “half price” in a “sale” because its a “bargain” rather than something from us 🙁
cant beleive the programmes corrupted, although, thinking about it, has anyone else had interferance issues from the main feed suppressor with this generation of lux’s??

it would be better if they honoured their no quibble warranty, rather than passing on the buck like that. what are the chances haier or whoever makes the bush are being forced to accept unnecessary returns??? havent seen any “graded” bush or haiers, so would it be right to assume they just scrap them, in which case, oh how very green…
as well as this, would i be overly cynical in thinking that the elux returned vacs that arent actually faulty are sold off bulk, debranded, cleaned up, and sold as say “igenix” etc?

of course 🙂 although on those occasions it never tripped straight away, it was always a few mins into the cycle, i guess, when the element recieved power?, anyways i think the sun has got me – going back outside now for another fiddle as no-one on here atm seems to know how to fix karchers 8)

ParticipantRe: Indesit WIDL126suk open circuit heater
not all the time of course but ive had a couple of h/ps which were o/c and tripping too, guessing the breakage damages the insulation as well?

i just cant see how that could be the case. is it possible the board has become corrupted and only running on a low heat, the other thing to check is which dryer programme is she using? the wdf740a in the shop here has 3 drying progs – 11,12 and 13. has she tried all 3?
also did the 2 towels get washed by hand/spun at a lower speed than her normal laundry, which will obv therefore affect drying lengths

ParticipantRe: More Consumer Woes
my thoughts are with the local indies in that circulatory area, now for every customer who gets told their load is unbalanced and its not a fault of the machine will potentially shove the paper in the retailers face and say yes it is a fault otherwise argos wouldnt have refunded/exchanged machines, so i want a refund too blah blah blah…
its actually quite disgusting what argos have done by skewing the customers perceptions of what they are entitled to even further away from the facts.

ParticipantRe: Fridge freezer not getting cold…… please help
3x callouts, 3x new sales, admittedly we’re not refrigeration engineers ourselves but all 3 have had thermostat and defrost timers replaced, with no luck either time. call me cynical but there seems to be somehting in them that makes them conk out within about 18-24 mths mark because they were a comet or currys exclusive – sorry! 🙁

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ACA9202
pretty sure these were either the chinesey (haier?ish) ones or the beko ones as they were making diplomats too just before their demise, whilpool ones would be adp**** iirc… it wud be worth seeing if a beko fdw600 part matched what ur after 🙂

ParticipantRe: baumatic bfe256ss (chinesey) f/f – E3 on freezer
cheers sean, have you any info on how to access this pcb, is it roof mounted, rear mounted (couldnt see it there unless its tiny) or in the door or elsewhere??
also is there anyway of clearing the error code on the door lcd screen? or will it do that automatically if its just a bad connection nipped back up when turned back on.
also lastly, if cust not bothered about e3 flashing, will it matter if its ignored? wasnt aware this was a frost free f/f as theres no rear air channels in freezer, so will it work normally? she would like to get it to last thru the summer as shes moving to bigger premises sometime just before christmas, when she will get something bigger, but obviously if its as hot this year as it has been last few years in june/july, will ignoring hte e3 make a difference? cheers in advance!
