    Re: amica gas cooker

our gas fitter has complained about this too but usually has an adaptor on board. iirc amica/gdha (bless) thought it was something to do with european market when i spoke to them, but to be fair its not something i expect gdha to be aware of, its something you need to collar simon freear about 🙂
have been assured by my dist. that latest models now come with the adaptor, so as long your distributor is sending out the latest stock i guess there wont be any more problems…? hth

if it helps. pilot error can sometimes occur!

all to often ive been out to a wdl***/wd*** where cust had selected the sunshine icon for drying. for some reason they think its the drysest setting for sensor drying, rather than no drying. worth a check! easy to test by running it empty for 10 mins on high heat with nothign on it for a timed cycle, does it then feel hot inside???

its a long shot, and i know you said clicking sounds like it comes from the rear, but its not a duff interlock or pressure switch is it? both cheap enough and common enough failures worth having to swap over to test, and still reuse later on. only mentioning this as had a aqualtis that sounded like it had tap shoes on…

apologies for wading in, but couldnt help offering an unbiased opinion. however, in all due respect, as a retailer, if i had dealt with them for the brushes episode, a loan machine would be in there, immediately after 2nd broken weight turned up/7 days since first notification. it sounds like a lot of hassle but it really is a confrontation killer when you say “but we couldnt have done any more, we put a loan machine in whilst yours was waiting for parts… you couldnt possibly have been inconvenienced that much”

omg your demanding. have you ever experienced electrolux’s service force merry-go-round or indesits “we’ll be out next week” and morning of booked date – sorry engineer cant be with you tomorrow, we have re-booked it for nearest available slot, in 2 days time, if thats not good enough then sod you, weve tried our best attitude? 5 days for an initial manufacturers call out is really good, even belling/stoves/lec, who can achieve a first call date in that period struggle with a first time fix, as often the spares sent out are wrong, at least your getting the right parts sent!

ps if you want any advice on parcel transit speak to your local dhl/fedex/parcelforce driver next time you speak to them. the staff in sorting offices will literally throw and kick parcels from one side building to another. one dhl guy saw/heard a chinking “fragile” box thrown overarm into a van. we dont make this stuff up to palm you off, major courier companys are covered by insurers too, so have no notion of responsability…

lamona is howdens own brand, it could be sourced from anywhere, but the HJA8514 on google images looks just like the hoover/candy/diplomat stock. if you use dimplex for parts your paying for their hefty middleman charges – hth 🙂

Re: Labor Rates For installing Integrated Appliances

£70 inc disposal if sourced from ourselves,
£99 + disposal if appliance is outsourced, that includes everything inc aligning neighbouring doors, holecuts, kickplate trims, hardwires etc. plus im really anal about how “right” it looks. the spirit level is your friend

but will often offer a £20 discount if i end up finding its a like for like panel fit that cuts off some time – i,e neff dw replacing a bosch, but its discretionary on how pleasant cust is and how much of a pig the job ends up being (hidden pipework, low worktops etc)

bit like when you go out to fit a single oven and find out old oven plugged in, and new oven has a 13a cable, is easy peasy so cust benefits from the reduction in time it will take me, but until youre there then you wont ever know 🙂
