itd be worth speaking to your connect rep tho saying how come qualtex can get it for that price, invariably the reply will be “because were stocking it” to which your response is “so whats the cheapest you can do it for as the cust is not exactly in a hurry” 🙂

oh no idea, cust initially did the repair, convinced it was the stat. the lenght was a concern when they got it home, now have it here on running and over last 24 hrs consistently -2 on top shelf, and 1 on bottom salad bin. will strip it down 2mo and give it a tug and push to see if its all the way down (sounds logical wish id thought of that). not sure exactly how to interpret the stat specs on it tho, so any pointers are appreciated…

its weird, there was only one type listed on connect, and im not aware of more than one version of this model anyway???
its entirely feasible as it was only bagged someone pulled a fast one on connect and returned a different type i suppose???
any one have the information on the length of the stat ? or info as to which universal type would suit it ???

garn, in my idle wasting of time before the weeks work arrives in 8 hrs time, ive been able to ponder as to why you occasionally use caps, but not on every word???

ParticipantRe: BUSH WM-1260B AUTOMATIC WASHER
on a sidenote its really interesting (and worrying) how many people get bush and bosch mixed up. the number of times you find yourself having to explain why the “bush” has only lasted 21 months, as in their eyes it “should have lasted longer, cos its a bosch” is growing increasingly common, either argos are onto a winner with their branding, retail people are telling the public porkies, or dyslexia has overcome the country…

BMTXT482325 at qualtex is £41 srp, unfortunately site is down atm, so cant say what trade is id expect about £32-35 tho, special order mind. tbh is customer was daft enough to get a poomatic then they will have to be happy enough to pay a premium for a fast fix (cnct) or wait for the cheaper part (qtx)

is it possible the door is not shut entirely, the hinges are well known to fail and the plastic supports wear so the door droops over time, the odd “click” sound couuld be the lock not latching, if it sounds different to normal. a gnetle push on the door and restart of the prog will check this 🙂

cokkee you need to turn it off for more than a day. hence recommendation for 48 hrs – AT LEAST! too many people think 24 hours is enough because the ice they can see has melted, yet the cause is the ice you cant see, hidden deep within the carcass, hence a 48-72hr downtime.
not sure where the drain hole is in the freezer, as its supposed to be a sealed container?? i think samuri might be talking about the drain in the back of the fridge, but that wouldnt normally cause water to collect and freeze in the freezer though.
you could be lucky, and being built in, theres a chance that maybe the door isnt shutting properly, or fully. this allows the hot and relativley humid air to enter and condense in the freezer, where the overall temperature will cause it to freeze, or its frost free system is failing, either way, a 48-72hr defrost is always first port of call.
if it helps, theres a new part of this site, that explains common refrigeration issues, so its worth taking a look at this…

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
had one today, daughter chasing up repair to mothers washing machine
“you havent been back to finish fixing my mothers washing machine”
ok, who are you?
they confirm their mothers name and address, me looks up original booking
ah yes, we left a message an we were waiting on your mother to confirm an appointment
“ok well we didnt get it and you didnt follow it up, have you got the parts now?”
well as we didnt charge you for the call out in the first case, because we werent sure whether you wanted to pay nearly £100 for that repair, we therefore didnt order the part, so no we dont have the parts as we have no record of authorisation to complete the repair
“thats not great customer service is it, if you hadnt heard anything you could have called us, how long will it take to get the parts in?”
tomorrow
“okay when can you fit it? and there wont be a charge will there”
this is a 4 year old zanussi washer dryer, handed down to her mother by aforementioned daughter… bought from john lewis.
brb just got to go find my registered charity no. so i can go get some more funding to pay myself…
