Re: Miele Condenser Dryer, Pump removal help

ok i can visualise it, if im looking down on pump, leaning over THE front to peer at the behind, so t/d front is pressed into my (overweight) gut, is it the lhs clip, or the rhs clip ?

PS cheers seamy, i gues if id gone gungho for it, id of suceeded, but at miele part prices, check twice before levering open…?!

Also while im down there is there anywhere else i should be lloking at checking for desludging/fluffing?

Re: Indesit IWD7145s not progressing through cycle

if it has been trolleyed during its move id be looking for damage to wiring around the motor area, rear bottom edge of indesit carcasses lend themselves to pivoting on the base of a trolley, causing front edge of narrow widthed trolley lips to swivel up and hit motor. sounds like a tacho or tacho cable fault on motor. under no circumstances inspect this whilst the appliance is live. i.e plugged in and power on. you will need a multimeter to check the motor / wiring looms

ok dude will have another check. if any one still has a wiring diagram for the selector id really appreciate it if only so i can discount that from, the equasion. I guess its possible another comp on the pcbb failed, such as the litle inverter type thing ? also heres the specification of the pair of relays i used:

As far as im aware the relays are meant to be identical, but ill do some checking, with regards to the wiring up of that pcb, its pretty straight forward, 2 red braided insulation feeds from terminal box, one to each relay tag, the out relay tag goes to grill/rhs fan element, and on other relay feeds other fan element and base. Middle feeds i cant remember off hand but i photo’d it before i took themvoff so def back on the way they came off. Still would like to verify cust has. Not mixed up any wires on selector tho

These arent 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} bosch dna, i remeber delivrring these and they came in boxes much like the integrated bosch w/ds which were italian (smeg) rather than the shrink wrapped polystyrene so id imagine the f21 trick may not work.If its a bsh motor check the toc hasnt gone, doubt display pcb is an issue as controls are on control mod, disp pcb is purely a lcd block. Could be the main mod where motor relay is. If thats case the control pcb wont affect it as itd be flagged on self test startup. Noted recently a lot of wvd24520 24460 parts ive fitted are now chinese made, bearing cross etc. Have you checked pcb isnt covered in carbon dust? Repaired a bosch last month where it would boil everything and seems carbon dust was bridging a few tracks and bypassing the heater relay control!!

Bosch waa failure rates ok circa 3-6 years (spider)
Bosch wae failure rates low circa 6-9 years (motor or bearings)
Bosch waq failure rates high circa 3 years (drum)
Bosch wab/wak unknown. Pres same as waa/waq

Lg small drums (square carcass) 3-5 yrs drum-5-7 years ddrive or pcb
Lg large drums (bowed carcass) 4 years recirc pump assy, pcb 7-8 yrs

Zanussi/basic aeg 3 years for tub assy
    Hp/ind. 5/6Kg models 3-5 years tub assy
    Hp/ind 7/8 models pcb 5 years

Beko 5/6 drums 3 years, 7/8 kg drums 4-5 years, pcbs can go on any 1-8 yrs

Re: are the modules interchangeable on the old wma hotpoints

right, got a wms38 pcb in the box. the fascia says its a 1200 model, does that mean the rpm is regulated by having a different motor to the wma40 (as i seem to recall the pulleys are all the same diameter) or would the wms38 module need re-coding to become a wma40? cheers in advance jim!

Re: Bosch integrated fridge freezer alarm!!!

and as it is integrated you need to make sure your cupboard doors havent shifted or the f/f hasnt shuffled about stopping the freezer door from shutting fully. even a tiny gap will over time allow enough condesnation into the freezer to overwhelm the frost free system (hence the suggestion to defrost fully)

Re: indesit UFAN 400SUK Freezer top problems

6ft tall refrigeration does tend to suffer from carcass flex/warping, particularly hotpoint/indesit larders as they just werent rigid enough, are you sure the seal is perfect all the way around? are the other basics like the freezer being level on all 3 planes? Its no good adjusting just the front feet if its listing sideways slightly as that will not help things.

you say its not been satisfactory from the start, what did indesit say about it whilst it was under guarantee? also are you running it at the maximum setting to negate the unsatisfactoryness ?
