my bet is landfill. avg life for these is 3-4 years, a self fix will be min of £20 + effort. a refrigeration engineer will anything over 80 quid. plus parts…

    5101’s ??

weird that turkeys biggest institution is going further affield.

had a convo with a distributors driver about 18 months ago who was delivering a van load of beko stuff to a retailer who exports the beko stuff back to turkey, because its cheaper than buying it direct from beko in turkey.

i love the way these companys laud their products as energy efficient even tho their carbon footprints outwieghs it massively. just like the toyota prius which causes more pollution in its manufacturing than it will save when its on the road for its entire lifetime…

think thats what ive already been doing jim,

    this is the c/p:

been holding 4&A simultaneously plug out then plug in…

    and not working

    A is purely an on/off switch, and 4 is a start/reset

i hate these machines, ugly as hell and never seem to work. i know h/p are mechanically the same, but at least the controls are nicer to use, and feel so much more positive. i also aesthetically hate the way the on/off is made to look like an eye. eurgh.

normally only external factor error codes are given out without diagnostics – low voltage, no water, no drainage…

engineer error codes are only usually gleened after using the built in diagnostics.

the one thing lux machines are good at are giving out error codes. sometimes one after another after another after another…

but dont let that put you off.

Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

    I want a cooker with ceramic hob…

    ok…

it needs to be 60cms to fill the gap and have a storage tray.

    ok…

it also needs to have a lid as ive just got a new kitten and im afraid it will hop onto the hob when its got warm… (new kitten jumping 3 feet in the air??)

unfortunately there arent any on the market that have lids that arent gas, but have you considered a dual fuel or induction hobs?

i dont want gas hob as they are too awkward to clean

ok well I can get an amica induction cooker which meets those needs

oh no dont want one of those, the one ive got now is an amica and i cant get on with the oven. it just wont work properly…

is that cos it doesnt have a fan?

i dont want a fan the fan ovens dont cook as well

um ok… well ive gotta be honest its going to be tough to get something you want without making a compromise

well i dont have to have a lid i suppose if i lock the cat away when im cooking.

ok, well that means only one i know of one the market like that is a multifunction bosch.

ah yes, i was looking at a white bosch in john lewis… how much is one of those…

    quotes,

ooh thats a lot of money

    is that more than jl?

    no its almost the same

ok so are we settled on that one then?

not its too expensive really. it has got paraletic cleaning hasnt it.

    paraletic? do you mean…

    yes…

    PYROLITIC?

    yes,

    no it doesnt

i dont want it then, its too expensive to not have that.

ok, what kind of a price mark were you looking at?

i dont want to go over £400, ive just paid £600 for this cooker, its only 3 months old. maybe if you could give me a trade in of about £300 ive got another £100 i could use.

erm im not sure i could for that amount.

well ok then, ill have to go somewhere else… click… hangs up…
