he was clearly back from the pub when he left that message.

ive never had a customer use that language with that level of intent when making a booking.

could always go down the prem electrics route of free call out, £60 diagnosis, and extortionately immoral spares list/prices. £30 for a belt. nicked off a scrappy wf… 😀

dont forget to check for gunk/nuts/kernals in the waste too. once found a nice semolina style mixture full of rice and starch at the entry to the back on one zanussi…

not that, the terminal box is the dinky 4cmx2cm type, and dont have any bridges. also if the terminals on teh inside werent on it wouldnt heat up like it does as terminals feed to the toc x2 on the live and the cooling fan/fan element on the neut.

emw wont repair the main pcbs for these btw, its a diy job or new one direct from lux with trade disc.

you could write it off but customer is entitled to decide whether to spend £250ish on the repair or £675+ for a replacement spec machine.

hence all spare part prices will be relative…

as for lux after sales, meh. if it was a comet/currys/jl/developer sale then bend the ear so far back itll break, if its a pleasant indie retailer, be nice to them, its not their fault, and they will do what they can

how can you be certain it wont be the pcb as well? these dodgy interlocks love popping triacs. its a bit of a fiddle, but 10 mins checking board as well is worthwhile, if only to guard against an extra re-call. and emw will fix them if it has blown.

elux pcb manual available on mediator with pictorial segregation of components, to aid where to look on board

a weighed down kangoo was fine on snow/ice with std tyres, the swb master is crap in the snow/ice. it had too much torque which would cause the diff to lose grip in a smidge.

however, master is preferred choice rest of the year, comfy, nippy, lovely to drive with a bit of weight over the back axle and stupidly economical for such a large/heavy 2.2 td.

only downside with renault commercials are keyfobs and security. french cars seem to be a a doddle to break into… the fuel guage never reads quite right either, you can put a tenner in turn it off and it will read empty when you turn it back on even if you have done less than a mile. but about 30 seconds of running its then off. wack.

on a more serious note, the ez50 viscounts were same spec as the turkish new world es50w’s

would be looking at maybe flavel/leisure for a 60 twin cav i guess??? it might work out cheaper in the long run to get 6 similar leisure knobs to the one viscount one. if you can even manage that. i know sparkworld http://www.sparkworld.co.uk were shifting some of the ez50s a few months ago, would be worth asking if they had any aftersales contact info???
