Re: Indesit single oven intermittent fault

does it work ok on grill ?

only reason i ask is these are fan assisted – not a true fan oven, so it doesnt have a fan oven element, just a dual grill/oven top element. and cos the grill simultaneously uses both circuits on the top element, if it grills ok, then the base element has gone. hence the “intermittance”

if switch hasnt been turned off then its often the lower part of the ridiculously thin lower yoke loom severing between brushroll pcb and the b.r. motor where it goes thru the rubber gromits in the plastic feed

Had quite a few DD problems with the hall sensor causing LE error code, guarantee is worthless as LG take 3months+ to fix it, who can live without a washing machine for 3 months?

Luckily the electronics tend to fail after five years and can’t easily be fixed due to that nasty resin stuff over the PCB. Surprised you recommend LG over German Boschs (not the Spanish ones).

Thing is I never said i actually recommend them, i just put all the facts on a plate to a customer. Bosch machines are dropping like flies atm, be they spanish or german, or turkish or whereever. no real idea as to why, but they are young machines, most not even seeing 5 years. and often the customers buying the lgs are the customers who have just had a bosch thats died. if you even imply they should consider getting another one, they will walk out the door, i know that and learnt my lesson fast! The one thing as a retailer you cannot get away with is tellign a customer you have to buy this, blah blah blah, because if something bad happens with it, like a Fri noon jobby, your reputation is shot, and people desert your company.

anyways after deviating if they cant afford the outlay on a siemens or miele, there is very little reasonable “known” brands to offer in the £350-400 market?? besides, lg service varies across the country. all depending who has the contract in your area!

just a thought, there are still a few end of line belling xou90g… sitting in retailers warehouses, they are full gas, including grills, before they moved over the electric grill/gas oven format.

yeh i did have a hunt first and it did make for interesting reading.

although you sound like i might have been wrong to discount it,

only reason i did gloss over that was that it didnt seem to be having issues with the analogic ps – i.e disconnected the hose to it, got e11 or e12 or something (cant remember which) and also electrically disconnected a/l p/s and got e31 (like you do when you disconnect them/they fail after last weeks zanussi encounter) so just assumed was working ok.

will heave the lump out and down to the workshop i think if i cant get it sorted within an hour, and hope some of you elux geeks are online one evening this week :baby:

    Re: Indesit washing machine explodes

    no win no feeD eh…

but yeh, that machine is old. and you cant assume an indesit was sold by a reputable retailer. id put money it was bought on the net because it was on offer. why? not because the customer is clearly a chav *although that helps* but because a reputable retailaer would not sell such sh!te. (pls excuse my swearing)

as a retailer in the last 6 years, ive been tempted every-a-while by suppliers offering special deals – in particular on indesit lumps of crud, but ive always stopped myself, bar one indysh!te moon, which when i discovered couldnt do a spin on its own meant i never ordered another… but tbf it is still going strong…

    Re: intergrated f/f

aeg offer flat hinges, but why is cust refusing another bosch? som,e bosch have as failry unique fixing where the door fits onto hinges of the cabinet rather than the f/f but still connects the f/f top the cabinet – if that makes sense. in which case lots of additional labour to convert cabinet to A SLIDER. or stick with bosch. if f/f has lasted 7+ years then they are deluding themselves if they think another brand will give them 15+ years 🙂
