In fact if you wanna find something, you’ll die under an avalanche of drums. I keep finding excuses not to clear it out, but when I do, the scrap-man will be very happy.

I thought we’d all have a scrapper Zannusi lying around in the washer graveyard, or a module and cover lying in a pile of second-hand modules. 😉
Or is it just me that stores up piles of (mainly) useless junk?
In my basement in must have 50 or 60 complete second-hand tubs, ranging from WMA’s to 20 year old AEG’s with cast-iron weights!

Brandt were a frigging nightmare to deal with! I say ‘were’ because we fell out with them about 7 years ago (ocean washers) and haven’t spoke to them since.

This guy is talking about working self-employed! That is when you get to meet all the selfish, deluded customers that want you to work for free, hence starving your kids.

I just tryed posting a reply, but I don’t know what to say.

Opps! I souldn’t of mentioned it to the boss!
He started telling me stories of three engineers carry one up a fire escape to a third-floor flat. Then he dug out his old service manual. 🙄 It was very dog-eared and smelt worse than him!
Then he spends half an hour going through it with me, showing me the diagrams for gear assy’s and telling me about common faults, like tub gaskets and suspension solinoids.
‘Oh yeah, I remember when they first came out, that dryer assy fan would run all the time making one hell of a noise! So then they put a solinoid and clutch….’
‘..and you see that there? That’s where you’d drain the oil out of the motor, and that’s where you’d fill it back up with oil again.’

Need any spares? I can’t believe the size of these solinoids!
I’ll show this to the boss, and see if he’ll have a chat about the good ol’ day an dat! When engineers used to fix stuff with grease, oil and skill; instead of just changing parts like all these wusses do nowadays!

Re: Bosch wfl2260 conditioner not being used
I sell alot of that model of Bosch, and I’ve had this complained alot!
The problem seems to be the thickness of modern conditioner. By the time the machine wants to use the conditioner, it has set into a mass of jelly and the water just runs straight off it, or picks the conditioner up in a solid lump and runs undernealth it.
The solution? Just dilute the conditioner with a small amount of water. This always solves the problem for my customers. 😉
Edit – Always shake the bottle first as well!

Not funny guys! You scared the crud out of me by putting in the wrong part number. 🙄
Wash-vac/part-centre are doing high qualities for £2.99 (50+), where as Electrue are £3.25 lowest price.
This is because Wash-vac are still on the old stock, where as Electrue are paying Ind###t’s higher prices.
