ParticipantRe: recons
The £100 washer is an irrelivant point, I think :tomato: Even the £180 Servis or other cheap makes.
Customers know that they can buy a £200 cheap, nasty make. But the people that buy re-cons from me, know that the 7 year old Zanussi I’m selling for £125 will last longer than a cheap new machine.
So I get landlords looking for old cheap workhorses, and then I get people that can’t afford a £300+ machine but also don’t want a cheap new machine.

What about the paperwork?
Will the producers be creating the relevant forms to track all the new appliances, or will we be responcable ourselves for any sales?
Will it be like the whole ‘personal use of company vehicles fiasco’? Where we are guilty until we can prove our innocence? Is it actually comming into law on the 1 June?
Goatboy’s worried 🙁

ParticipantRe: Masterlux leaking badly
Meh!
All the parts are obsolete, unfortunatly 😕
Only bags, filters and tools are available. Unless your local vacuum repair shop has a huge warehouse full of old parts? But nothing new can be ordered!

Prise the wheels off! It’s obvious from there 😉
The general warnings about safety aren’t just for you. They’re for the next people that read this thread, long after your gone. So, remember to unplug the machine before any maintainance.

That’s the problem! 🙁 Terrible model of Dyson!
The cones ontop of the bin get blocked up, and that sounds like it could be your problem. You can’t access the cones to unblock them!
But, if you have a powerful enough jet-washer, you can blast water through the bin assy, and sometimes shift enought muck out. Bear in mind, if you do this, the bin will need to dry out for a least 24 hour, so you don’t suck water into the motor 👿
