ParticipantThis is usually the water indicator in the sump of the machine when I get this fault. Most of the time its just stuck with congealed fat to something similar. Easiest way to tell if its stuck on full is to get something very thin and poke it through gently onto the diaphragm and listen for a click. If you can’t hear one its either gunked up or faulty.

ParticipantTurned out to be a o/c drain pump

ParticipantThanks Murv, but no, its definitely not water in the base. It was the first thing I checked. The machines usually constantly run with this fault but this just goes dead after it drains at the start and then about 2/3 mins later starts to beep.

ParticipantNo problem Ken , just thought I’d mention it, but I do like the new look.

ParticipantJust a quick question regarding searches. I have tried a couple of times now searching for fault codes, for example if I search F04 Hotpoint, I only get Hotpoint searches and it ignores F04. If I just search F04, it won’t accept it because its too short I presume. So I can’t seem to find a way of searching for fault codes anymore. Is there any way around this, am I doing something wrong. Its an invaluable source of quick info when i’m on the road for the odd code thats left the memory banks.

ParticipantRe: New World Range – Static oven elements
Thanks Dave, I think your right, i’ll give them a call. Even New World don’t list everything for this model.

ParticipantRe: New World Range – Static oven elements
It’s looks like that one. Typical connect list about 5 parts for it and qualtex don’t even recognise it.
I’ll have to email an enquiry I think.
Thanks for your help though, appreciate itgrooster
ParticipantRe: New World Range – Static oven elements
The numbers had all come off the machine, it’s commercial use on a domestic machine so it’s had a hard life and been cleaned to death.
I’ve got the model number from the instruction book.grooster
ParticipantRe: Invasion of Kamikaze slugs
They seem to like Hotpoint for some reason. Ive had about 3 over the last year on the Hotpoint dishwasher with the module at the front. I also had a Samsung oven last week with a slug stuck on the power board. Lovely smell, fried slug….

It’s a top door unfortunately, they all seem to be top on eBay.

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher heat pump problems
Thanks Martin, I did a search for Bosch Heat Pump and nothing came up so thanks for the link.
Seems to be a big problem but I just wish I knew definitively what is causing them to go because having two bounce in a week is a real bummer.
I’ll give a few more a go and if I get anymore bouncing i‘m going to have to give them up and tell them to call BSH. Its just they are quite good money and sooo easy to fit.grooster
