ParticipantRe: Bearings on a hpt wt721
Phidom wrote:£60 was never a realistic price for bearing change on a big drum Hotpoint. Also, there was no point stripping it, you only need to take the lid off to determine if it’s a welded drum.
or just look under the kickstrip, if theres a filter its welded, if not its screwed, much less effort!

Participantdid you know that on electronic condenser, on most of the progs, the heater doesnt come on for at least ten mins?
BUT if theres no water going into the drawer, then the pump impellor may have dropped off, and needs replacing, yet if the float is activated, it will turn the heater off
the airing program is exactly that, and wont produce any heat
the drm jammed? that normally a faulty jockey wheel, that’ll need changing to.. that is of course subject to whther the capacitots faulty? was it just jammed, or did it go with a push?multiples of anwers, just more time inspecting, take off the side panel, all will be revealed.. sometimes a good old look round works wonders!

Participantlight 2 would suggest an f04 fault
that being pressure switch stuck on empty
does it fill at all? does it fill and not get full?
either way, the machine thinks theres no water in it!!
possible cause? faulty valve, pressure switch or pbc, or pick 2 from 3

Participantdepends on the age.. if its a screwed tub, then its the same scenario as a wma.. some oth the later ones are welded, so that meens tub replacement

the ice in the freezer would suggest ice build up
which will stop the fan, which stops the fridge from working
