erm, forgive me ,but , sureley that machine should be hard wired, not on a plug top?

we’ve disussed this before, and ive never seen one on a 13 amp plug top, theyre always wired to a cooker point with 2.5 cable!

the main one is at the back of the freezer, behind the metal panel at the bottom, its enclosed in the big wite housing, next to the compressor

    its normally that

its a larder fridge, it doesnt have heater, doesnt need one

no…. the heater box is generic and fits all models

on later models there is a fluff filter, with a flushing valve

if it doesnt have one, fill it with silicone

    its a larder fridge

no thermistors, or defrost heater, just stat

stats can cause this problem just as easily as not working at all

you could try a stat… further to that, your compressors running weak, and due to the fact that your evaporator only covers 2 thirds, the latter is more likely

youd be right, its pretty common
change the stat, and ittl cure your problem

stop putting comet in the same bracket as currys please

not the same, not nearly anything like

They are in the same bracket as they are both doing poorly, comet is stronger than currys at the moment but like I say, bestbuy isnt far away now, its going to get alot tougher for them both.

wsts, sorry mate your information is based on what? We are definitely not in the same boat, its tough for everyone out there, independants included, some of us are in a position to weather this, bestbuy do not have the infrastructure in place to compete with us or Currys, all competition is good though, the customer is the winner, no bad thing.Based on a friend of mine is involved in the best buy roll out starting in January, and has told me a bit about what is happening,

The retailer has previously told PC Retail that it expects to open around 200 stores by the end of 2009, with store sizes varying between 40,000 and 60,000 sq ft.

Do you seriously think that best buy would spend 1.1 billion to just “dip their toe in the water” ?

    http://uk.biz.yahoo.com/10092008/399/ke … rning.html

Significant drop in sales at Comet reported in September plunges them into the red, worse to come ? We will see but I dont think that anything done recently (vat drop etc.) is going to make a major difference.

of course! your mates said it, so it must be true eh?

at comet, we SEE the figures, we dont listen to our mates, we know where we stand

times are tough for a lot of people, but things have been in place for some time

currys have given themselves a problem.. by anonouncing instabilty and profit warnings, it will give the consumer grounds for concern and they will shop elsewhere

i really wish some of the independants would stop trying to make us out to be the enemy… we have to work to you know, and whether you like it or not, we’re good at what we do,and we still back you guys up, its a pity you cant do the same for us

i tire of going to customers who have rang the local independant, who did nothing but call us not fit to burn

i have many a friend in the trade, and i recommend him to some of comets customers, when we cant help, its a pity you cant do the same

bring on bestbuy, currys, empire direct… bottom line is, its tough for everyone

for reference purposes, it is a smartcard version

    emw are your best bet

if you ever need to use a smart card reader, you need a low end adaptter
