drain channel blocked? faulty/jammed float switch.. cracked base (rare)

the float switch is designed to turn the heater off, so thers no more condensing…. if it jams, it overfills…. thats if the pumps faulty of course

avoid anything by indesit… hotpoint, indesit, creda, cannon

    id go for a bosch/neff

cant remember ever having repaired one, but then gas hobs tend to be reliable anyway

if it was myself, id just be glad it was keeping my food cold

larder fridges are always 2-3 degrees warmer as a rule

you still havent asked who manufactures these? and then you’ll have your answer

yup thats the dryer element… the wash element does take some time to come on

if someone gave me a hotpoint washer/washer dryer with a £50 note attatched, id take the £50 , pay the delivery driver £10 to take it away, and be grateful, safe in the knowledge i hadnt let a horrible, overly priced, unreliable fire hazzard in my property

    what more can i say?

    ok
the part number penguin supplied is just the original, replacement pump

i cant quite put my hands on the part number, BUT
    http://www.4hotpoint.co.uk/cgi-bin/prod … query=pump

is what you actually need to convert it to the new style

if you look at the pic, youll be able to tell which pumps on yours

ill get you the number in the morning… DONT buy it from hotpoint

    further on to that

there are 2 different pumps for that model

the earlier, all black pump was a noisy pig, and was changed to a later type
it is possible to convert the early pump to the late type with the pump kit.. the later one is easily identified, by the stem of the pump being further from the body, coverered in a white plastic

nope, the pump runs like that
simply, the water can’t get through the drain channel, and runs into the fan chamber

for future reference, the heater isnt switched on during the reverse tumble… since the fan runs the opposte direction, it wouldnt be able to cool the elements, and would cause the cut out to cut out.. for this 6 second reverse, it really isnt important

and penguins right, the drainage cannel will be blocked

me thinks your delving a little too deep
