as penguin says, they do fail, but its not unique to candy/hoover machines
gias couldnt possibly ‘recall’ all the machines… most people dont return their registration slip, so how do they contact them?
to be fair to them, they do have a reasonable structure to repair/replace faulty components, but a faulty supressor is hardly recall material
it would appear maybe youve had a candy machine which has had a faulty surpressor, the engineers probably mentioned he’s changed a few and you think your on to something
scaremongering is not a good tactic.. if it was pandemic, the forum would have been littered with posts by now, watchdog would be on the hunt, and there WOULD have been a national press release

the thermostat unclips from the back of the selector.. whichever way you look at it, the thermostats the same for both ovens
its all well and good defrosting the freezer, but theres a good chance the drain hole at the back is blocked
take all the baskets out, and unscrew the rear panel, take it off and youll see the evaporator, and a hole at the bottom.
thats the drain hole you need to clear

oh, i had a customer the other day who was wanting to claim compensation for a week off work, because hed got food poisoning after eating the food out of his freezer, 2 days after he found out it had defrosted
and theres the classic haier claim thats still rattling round comet, that i really cant mention cos ill get sacked, which is the craziest thing ive ever heard
