    nope!!!

blombergs do not attempt ANY spin if the load is found to be unbalanced during the distribution process, and thats why it stopped with the pump running after trying to distribute the load, answered ur own question!

penguin was spot on with his diagnosis, what you did did not cure the problem cos there wasnt one, although its a bonus having the thing cleaned out, and no, they dont have a memory

    isnt that the prewash light?

had one of these yesterday, unplugged the connections to the supressor, left it 5 mins, plugged it back in, and it worked!!

other than that, the main pcb is faulty, seen it a few times

as u know, the ONLY fault that the key doesnt show is a heater fault

since the valves are ok, and it filled on test, have you meggered the heater?

not trying to teach you how to suck eggs jim, its more than likely a pcb fault, id just check the heater to be doubly sure

    if merloni last that long

theres been a MASSIVE shift in people who are just plain fed upwith their merloni product who change it for a bosch or summert proper

whether eventually it makes much of a difference remains to be seen, but the word is spreading

i know i wouldnt put ANY money back in the pockets of a company who thought it was normal for a machine to last 13 months and requires a major repair

    time will tell

Probably the same ‘electrician’ who installed an indesit built under double oven cooker with a 2 core vacuum cleaner flex, complete with 5amp fuse!

    ‘it keeps blowing fuses’
‘cant do that sir, needs to be wired up properly’
    ‘an electrician did that!’
‘can i see the receipt please?’
‘now then, where did the wife put it, maybe she took it to work with her’

needless to say i removed said cable, and after a constructive conversation regarding safety , i left

of course, 30 minutes in, hes in the store kicking off, wanting a replacement

i got him on the line, and said there would be a bill in the post if he carried on

and no, he didnt get his money back

evidentally, he’d done it himself… will people EVER learn?

    lol, missread wot u wrote

congrats, and buyin a bosch will be much more fulifilling for you!!!another customer lost by merloni (not to mention everyone youve told about your problems!)

and since the merloni guys said it wasnt possible for it to be exchanged, how did u manage it?

can i just ask, , regardless of what the merloni guys say, what exactly does it say on the bottom right hand side of your policy?

    quote it here, please

bottom line… would YOU let anybody repair your appliance, after seeing flames shooting out the bottom?

why doesnt common sense prevail.. this is not about engineering skills, or company ethics, its about customer safety, satisfaction, and customer relations!
you get that word , customer?

sometimes, common sense has to prevail!

maybe i got it easy, and we’re told to write nothing off either (after all, it costs money), but you got to look at things on individual merits, and sometimes, a write off is the best option

    the upshot?

you get to keep your customer, and their family and friends etc, word of mouth can be as much a bad thing as a good thing

i wonder, regardless of what happens, will digruntled allow another merloni machine in their property?

    im not gonna repeat myself

went to an indesit widl thing today… usual stuff, module burnt out, harness fried

3 minute phone call to d&g.. machine gone… customer over the moon

looks like engineers DO have a say in whether its b.e.r

are there any customers around who HAVE had the experience? ime sure theres plenty

    dont work harder, work smarter

well, all of them if thats the way theyre gonna charge?

seriously though, if thats the case and a machine is b.e.r, do they give em a new one, or just not charge em and scrap it?

intersting how far they’ll go for less than £110?
