helo_75
Participantno, u initially said it was a wm.. the motor on a wm machine is at the top, thats why jim thought u was out on your age of your machine @ 4 yrs
on the wma, its at the bottom, and requires different brushes
cue one of the guys to give you the right part number

Participantitll need a new pcb, and an eprom as well
but
first id try taking off the front pcb and refitting it properly (sometimes they become dislodged and the buttons jam)
PLUG OUT of course.. worth a try first off, if it doesnt work , it will need a main pcb and eprom

pig of a job, and the tool was listed at summink stupid like £118 + v.a.t

Participantincorrect
dont make sweeping statements you cant back up
there are modifications to cure this fault
you’ve never detailed the problems youve had…. try asking the question before making outlandish, ridiculous, sweeping statements

Participanta MILLION other people?
your defrost heaters faulty, use ur head, if uve been reading properly, instead of jumping the gun, you’d have read that
not the easiest of jobs, not available as a spare part, comes as part of the evaporator, which also includes the sensor and thermal fuse, all of which should be changed at the same time (the heater does come off the evaporator with a bit of effort)
more than likeley available as a spare part from uk whitegoods online store, certainly r600 can supply u with one
hope this helps

Participantive always said we’re in the wrong job
another typical example of people taking advantage of the elderly
i notice that whitegoods engineers are nothing like that, and try and be fair at all times, just goes to show how much of an undervalued trade we are in

Participantlpg stats and ffds?
hows that work then?
does the ffd open the valve different or something? or does the thrmostat knock off at some different temp?
cant see that being the case
all ths lpg conversions ive seen (and incidentally, i changed a bosch one back from lpg to natural gas) just involve changing the injectors, nothing more
since ffd/thermostats are only reactive to heat, the gas pressure is not an issue, is it not?
although, quite often, when u look on partfinder, it does say that the model cannot be converted to lpg, whether thats because they dont want to supply the injectors, im not sure
im sure someone will come and try and contradict me……
cue kiddo

Participantyou could always try looking at the ratings sticker on the cleaner, rather than the floor head?
helo_75
Participantsince when did logic come into anythign these days adam?
it isnt unusual for any manufacturer to source parts from other available outlets if things become in short supply.. its only a matter of putting it in the box isnt it?
honestly
