ParticipantRe: hoover auto OPH714D Error code 05
faulty thermister.. could be broken wires, but its usually the thermister thats faulty

ParticipantRe: zanussi washer dryer
yep, its usually the green valve coil on the top.. if you take the lid off, its really quite obvious
unless of course, the pumps faulty.

ParticipantRe: Candy GO 1482-80
known issues
name it
faulty selectors not selecting right programme
spontaneously combusting tubs
door locks blowing core boards for no reason
low insulation on heaters causing e3 (VERY COMMON)
poor motors that go bang for laughs
unpredictable fault code of e05 (thermistor faulty/broken wires)
oh, and the worst one, which i see a lot of, is obstructed pressure vessel which is a pig to clean out as its integrated into the tub

ParticipantRe: Hoover SE 234 – 80
ooh no, hang on, thats easily sorted
open the door, take off the band round the door seal and peel it back.. the black hose is attatched to the tub.. luckily, its u-shaped so if you pull it off the car should be in there

ParticipantRe: comet
incidentally, no1 who is/was employed by comet has signed an ‘oncall’ contract, there isnt one, yet!
we were all put under consultation some time ago.. verbally, and that all got stopped when it all went tits up and the service center business/restructure came to the fore
the beko mods, and the upcoming bosch dishwasher work that british gas screwed up will help put service into profit, hopefully proppin up retail in dark times
and if your mate has a ‘comet’ van, then id smell a rat, there shouldnt be any of them they were either rebranded or changed
hes more likely a ppr guy, and theyve chucked an old van at him to see him through while he makes a mess of the beko mods
