up to seial number 80523
C00259737
after serial number 80523
although it does say c00259737 substitutes the earlier one

Participanti just replace the coil itself any valve coil will do

Participantall depends if the drum shaft is worn – if it is .. then bye bye

Participantits not a sealed drum
the front of the machine is removeable, as is the drum, and it can be split
although the bearings are bad, bearings and a drum spider (at most) are available, and its not a bad repair
but there are 2 types of bearings, its not a bad repair, and i still think wma machines are better than a lot of the new tat out there
its your call

Participantany glue? wouldnt do you any good mate
if its totally dead, and youve checked the socket AND the fuse.. then its either the mains supressor or the pcb itself

Participantspot on jim
it seems to take an age for these babies to reverse, and when they do, they reverse for just a few seconds
let it run for 30 mins to confirm, if not, its the timer

Participantgreen coil o/c on valve is the usuall
but worth checkin pump function (earlier ones had a toc which cut out when hot) or blocked condenserexperience points to the green valve coil

Participantbrushes are very similar, but if its the bearings, it aint pretty, tub has to be split… and i think youll have to take the tub out to do it
what sort of noise are you getting?
helo_75
ParticipantDONT, under any circumstances, at all, in any way, waste your hard earned coin on a ariston/indesit/hotpoint pile of trash
as youve probably read, bosch figure highly in the advice we give on replacement machines… well worth the money
ise machines give good value for money, with lengthy guarantees,a machine that doesnt compromise on quality for the sake of profit… the independants speak highly of them, and you would deal with your local trader direct.. that maybe better for you?
im sure one of the agents (kwatt, iadom, penguin45) will advise a little better, as its not anything i deal with!
would i put a drum shaft/bearings on an old hoover? im not sure, theyre better than a lot of this tat knocking about right now, .. personally, id be looking at the brushes while i was in there!!
good luck, whichever way you decide to go with it

Participanthttp://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/produc … WAE24164GB
dont settle for anything less
dont be sucked in by the specs of the cheaper machines, especially haier, they might be silver, but they look shiny on the tip

Participantput a shaft kit on it, pack it out at the back with washers, cut and put the felt seal over where it looks like its been scraping.
only way youll save money
might even work
