Not sure what DU1 and DU2 are but from this angle they might be diode pairs, VR1 looks like a Voltage Dependant Resistor (Surge Protection). Might need some better photos (different angles and other side) to be sure.

Assuming that the compressor is OK and the light is not controlled by the PCB then the first thing I would check/replace would be the X2 class capacitor (Large grey block labelled C1 in your photo). If the capacitor is OK then I would check whether or not you can get any continuity through the large pink fusible resistor (R3 – looks like 41 Ohms but not sure).

Post some decent photos of both sides of the board and I may be able to help you track down the dodgy component.

The heater is approximately 900W and is controlled by a small relay on the draw control board, the thermal fuse is part of the heater assembly and cannot be bought separately.

It would be whichever control board that is fitted to the draw of the hot element.
Another thought would be to check that the main motor rotor is free to turn as I have seen a jammed motor take out more than one of these thermal fuses.

There is a thermal fuse on the element plate which also has a printed resistor on it as well as the heater, the resistor is part of the power supply for the top board – check the thermal fuse as it will probably be blown then when replaced and before running the machine through a cycle check to see if the centre of the element plate is getting hot, if it is then you may have a faulty diode on the board.

They usually send the initial job requests by email and then it is all on their system which you should be able to access as a repairer.

I deal with them once every couple of months and have not had any problems with them.

If you are getting 0.95 Meg Ohms on an insulation test of the heater then it is a failure as it needs to be greater than 1 Meg Ohm.
If you are getting your 1.56 on the Meg Ohms scale then that means that it is 1, 560, 000Ohms resistance which would make it a 0.00015 Watt heater – in other words as good as non-exsistant. I am not sure what wattage the heater should be but if I was to assume approx 2000Watts then it should be about 26 Ohms.
The 100V to earth may not be a problem depending on if the heater is ok or not.

A couple of quick thoughts for you:
1. Does it do the neutral drain OK? – the motor should turn in the same direction as for spin but the drum and agitator should stay still.
2. Is the washing evenly distributed? – they don’t do it themselves.
3. Is the inner drum firm on its shaft?

ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWG6165Z PCB
Are there any markings left on it or is it burnt to a crisp – photos of the board would also help so that I can check for certain how/where it is wired in.

Sounds like a Voltage Dependant Resistor, the 5 just indicates that it is the fifth one listed on the board.
I don’t know that board but looking at the images on connect it appears to be on the main power input (or very close to it) and I would guess that it is wired across line and neutral – the component is designed to act as a surge protector by only conducting above a certain voltage.

According to the information that I have and the images on connect – the start relay/solenoid is mounted and part of the rear of the timer.
Masterpart have stock of the timer which is electrolux part no: 1258353141
