Hi thermostats work by the gas contained in the phial changing pressure under varying temperatures, this then operates the stat at the correct running, the icing in the fridge would depend on wether it was all over icing (possible stat jammed on) or if it was more of an ice lump then may have been a blockage in the gas system pipework, either could have caused a compressor failure eventually, relay failures are rare but the contacts to the compressor may have burnt out, if the compressor itself had failed/jammed you would normally still hear a slight ‘click’ when the unit was swithced on

unless you ordered them pre-programmed one board can fit about 12 machines so need to be set up to fit the programmes on the machine its being fitted to, i wouldnt worry, if they were wrong you would have found out the next day 😉

Hi the programming for a WMA32 is as follows

    Switch to OFF
Press & Hold ‘Super rinse’ & ‘Rinse Hold’ whilst turning dial to ‘K’
continue to hold for 5 secs untill ‘super rinse’, ‘rinse hold’ & ‘rinse & spin’ flash
Press ‘start’ for 2 seconds, all led’s go out

then for WMA32 turn dial back to ‘D’ press start, (super rinse led lights)
turn dial to ‘A’ press start, (rinse hold lights)
keep dial at ‘A’ press start again (super rinse & rinse hold light)
turn dial to ‘E’ press start, (rinse hold led on, super rinse led flashes)

rotate back to ‘A’ then turn through all settings, Final Spin light should go as follows for each dial position
    on,on,off,off,off,on,on,on,off,on,off,on,off,on,off

heater failure on these is rare but worth checking, more likely would be motor unfortunatly

    Re: Indesit possible F17 fault

led 4 flashing is a triac failure, will fill for few seconds then do system check, pick up the triac fault and flash no4, sorry, looks like another great module bit the dust
