Don’t worry about that, they may ask for your model and serial number. They can tell it’s age from that.

Unless of course it is over five years old, as a WMD 740 could well be. In that case it would not be economic to repair. 🙁

Hotpoint’s labour charge is just over £100, where are you going to buy a new machine for that money. 😉

You need to contact Hotpoint/Whirlpool direct.

It sounds like the main bearings have failed which will mean you will need a complete main drum assembly. Your parts are covered for five years, you will only have to pay the labour charge.

Only joking Bryan, it was a very enjoyable Thursday/Friday, well done to all involved.

And the events I witnessed on Sunday at Wembley made it a perfect weekend. 8)

Difficult to be certain, pumps can fail intermittently but it could well be a faulty pcb. 🙁

The pump does run continually on these machines even when empty. Sounds like you need a new pump assembly.

Well the mighty REDS won the EFL Cup final beating Dons Saints at Wembley.
United very lucky and showing the physical strain of playing five games in two weeks versus a side with only today’s game in the same period.

Nothing wrong with their disallowed goal from where I sat either.

You have to give credit to United for never giving up and battling to the end no matter what. 8)

Anything and everything, OOB due bad loading, wiring connections, especially at the motor plug end, motor, module, pressure switch etc, most of those faults should be throwing up an error code though?

quite simple when you have done one

Even easier when you have done lots of them, doesn’t even have the sneaky screw behind the control knob. 🙂

The decision is yours alone, I have never, ever paid for insurance or warranty on any appliance that costs under £350/£400 .

Re: Hotpoint WMUD843 Ultima Error F11

F11 is ‘supposed’ to be a pump related fault.
Could be wiring connection faults between pump and module, faulty pump, pressure switch, faulty module etc. As you have had a cleaner through it you could have dislodged some internal gunge that may be blocking the pressure (water) level switch chamber. As this machine has the dreaded sealed drum then clearing such a blockage is not easy.
