    Re: Indesit Washer Dryers with no condenser valve!

    Two slightly different models depending on commercial code Bob and parts list shows both a treble valve and a single hot valve ????

    Has been in production since 2011 BTW.

    Picture of valve attached

    Can send you the manual if you like, the only mention of the two different commercial codes relates to a ‘Standby function’.

    Digging a little more reveals that what I suspect is the earlier model shows hoses from valve to condenser with part numbers, the second model shows the same hoses but with no part numbers suggesting they are not used. Checking further reveals two different outer drums so it may be possible that the feed to the condenser is via an internal channel on the later model???

    With the hardware key or their dedicated software/laptop. All it does is flag up the same error message as the machine shows as soon as it encounters an error using the hardware key.

    Sorry, my mistake, not a washer dryer. Not sure why they would advise to check for water damage on a WMF base pcb with a sealed drum, the board is well away from the pump?

    Bearing leaks only real possibility.

    Not the pump Martin which is located at the opposite side or at the front on sealed drums. The leaks onto this pcb are from the dryer condenser assembly directly above.:(

    Re: Hotpoint Wmf740puk.r

    From the service manual F02 fault.

    – Check for water leaks that may affect connector J009 causing the
    contacts to short circuit;
    – Check to ensure motor is not mechanically jammed or seized;
    – Check efficiency of the contacts on connector J009 on the PCB;
    – Check the motor side connector;
    – Check motor winding and check that the impedance value on wiring
    connector J009 between pins 3 and 4, 4 and 5, 3 and 5 is less than
    100 Ohm; (three phase)
    – Check the tacho generator winding and check that the impedance
    value on wiring connector J009 between pins 1 and 2 is between 115
    and 170 Ohm;
    – Check the tacho generator wiring;
    – Disconnect appliance for 2 minutes. Check that correct operation has
    been restored by starting the Autotest routine;
    – Renew motor;
    Renew PCB.

    Anything and everything is possible. 🙁

    New seal is not that expensive, around £14.00, part number is C00312040. 😉
    Can sometimes be dragged off when removing a very large item of laundry, once they come off the will often keep falling off again.

    DOH, keep forgetting it’s a washer dryer and just how many wierd faults the dryer ntc can throw up. 🙂

    Could be related to This fault, can’t say I’ve done one on the later type pcb’s though??

    Re: need help assessing wm noise please

    Fill levels are almost certainly correct, all modern machines use much lower water levels than a few years ago. Very few modern machines will fill up to the lower lip of the door glass on the wash cycle, some will fill a little higher for the rinses.

    Does it still make the noise if you don’t ‘overfill’ it? The door seal could be catching on the drum or it could even have a cracked drum support. Is it excessively noisy on fast spin with a full load?

    As Martin suggests, belt slip can also cause noise but that sounds like a scraping noise.

    Have you tried another pump just in case the pump overload is over sensitive.
    Failing that then it points to pcb failure.:(

    Re: Bosch D/W no heat?

    Thanks for that, it must have been the plug at the back that was holding it in I guess. I was getting around 500k? across the two red wires.

    Is it just a coincidence or could opening the door mid cycle cause problems?
