If anyone does have problems they could try flushing out their DNS cache.
Open a COMMAND prompt and enter ipconfig/flushdns then hit enter.
That may help some of you.

Best of luck, if you are unlucky you will soon realise why kitchen fitters are loathed with a vengeance by the poor souls who have to try and repair these machines after they have ‘bodged’ them in. 😥

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint washer dryer wd420
When you say you have a spare power module, is that from the same type of machine, the eeprom is sometimes soldered onto the module and sometimes it can be unplugged and replaced onto another module.
Also this machine should generate error codes via the vertical row of neons on the left of the facia, are any of these flashing? Even though it spins a fault in the motor itself or module connections can cause this symptom as well.Well worth remembering that your machine will be covered by the manufacturers 5 year parts gaurantee, a steep labour charge but better than the possible risk of doing more harm than good yourself.
You are correct in your assumption as to the positions of the two modules.
There are three different eeproms for this model range depending on type of dryer assembly fitted or whether or not the machine is H&C or Cold fill only.

Chris.
Actually won 3-1, slowly getting back to my best after the upsets of the past few months. 8)
Just been to another sub 2 year machine, Hotpoint WF220, one of the suspension legs has come adrift, customer kept on using it even though it was banging around. Outer drum has chafed away at the wiring harness just above module, rubbing the paint off the cabinet inner and shorting out the board. Advised customer to get Hotpoint in to fix under 5 year g/tee. Just rung back, “can’t be bothered, how soon can we have an ISE”?
Now I never even mentioned an ISE but she apparently has a friend who has one. 😀

You may have flooded the base. One thing you can try before calling in the experts ( see the link below) is to unplug the machine, pull it out from under the unit or wherever and tilt it to one side, place few towels on the floor first. If you get a quantity of water running out then this could be the cause of your problem. Retry the machine afdter this. If it still does not work then it is time to call for the cavalry.

allround wrote:this should be a 12 way connector to J8 on module ,valves and wash thermistor. Part Number from what i can suss is C00109950 for hot and cold fill machine , and C00140536 for hot fill only machines (a whopping £100 + retail on this one 😯 )
Hot fill only, that will be economic to run. 😆 £100 for a few metres of wire plus the module, seems a fair price. :rolls: Must be a mistake that. The hot & cold harness is only around £17.00 + vat.
Went to an 18 month old Indecent machine yesterday, it has already had a module changed in g/tee. Now the drum support has failed, sealed outer tub, machine scrapped. What a pile of poo these machines are, in fact that is an insult to excrement. 👿

Firstly, why do you need to replace the pump? it could just be blocked or jammed. You can inspect the pump impellor by removing a single torx screw in the inside of the machine, inside the sump at about 8.00 o’clock.
Lift of the small cap , remove the small rubber flap valve and shine a torch inside first before you poke your fingers in, hidden glass can be nasty.
Before you do this, replace the top, the sides and all the screws except the ones holding the lower front plinth on. The pump is rather awkward to change on this machine but can be done from the front by removing the door panel and the lower front plinth only. Please remove plug at all times and click the link at the bottom of this post to see if we have an engineer who can help you if you get stuck.

ModeratorRe: Creda T601CW Relay
Hi Bryan,
I seem to remember this question coming up a few months back. I’m sure someone ordered the original and got the later PCB type relay or something. At the time he said it had no wiring instructions, not sure how it was resolved, It is possible that johnnyj or one of the other Hotpoint lads answered.
What is the part number of the new relay?
I would do a search but at my advanced stage in life, I may expire before the answer comes up. :rolls: 😀
Might try later.

Full model number plus ENR number if possible is the first thing you need to get some help. A couple of variations.
