Wise choice, this one is also well worth considering 😉 http://tinyurl.com/q6ahg

From memory there are two triacs on these boards, one at least will be used to control the motor, but as I mentioned, often damaged by other components.

Sadly that is an Indesit clone. 😥 There is a possibility that something has caused the triac to fail. Even the Indesit engineers themselves do not posess full control board circuitry information.

Two different modules depending on serial number at around £70 + vat they come without the eeprom which is around £8.50 + vat. A full check of all other components and wiring would be need to make certain that the triac in question has not been damaged by one of them.

Given the quality and reliability :rolls: of this model range you may want to consider your next move with great circumspection.

Quite fast just now, still the odd time out. Just been using a few net tools.

Well what are Sunday afternoons for. 😉

http://www.all-nettools.com plus whois look ups. List two servers ns1.laser.com & ns2.laser.com . The former appears to be in the US and I can tracert & ping in seconds. IP 216.167.90.224. On the other hand ns2.laser.com, IP 195.173.62.81 appears to be in the UK, pings & tracerts both timeout to this server.

Guess we are still on the US based server ATM, although both appear to be run by Easyspace.

If it is an A1636 then you need to tell us by number from the top down which option light is flashing.

The only time out of balance would cause this switch to trip would be if the switch itself was loose internally, almost completely unheard of. It trips when the temperature has risen above the manufacturers set safety level.

Would taking the battery out of a smoke alarm because the noise annoyed you, or would putting a piece of tape over the oil warning light in your car because it was shining in your eyes cause a problem…need I go on, 😉 😀
you must not do this under any circumstances. Any subsequent damage to the machine or indeed your house should a fire ensue would not be covered by guarantee or insurance. If you are certain that you are not stopping the machine mid cycle to check on the clothes, or if the drying cycle is not being interrupted in any way before it has finished, then you must insist on an engineer coming to check this machine out. There can be several reasons for the safety stat to trip depending on the type of machine.

Can you give us the correct model number as opposed to its name, these machines are either a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit clone ( bad news) or a Hotpoint based machine with Indesit electronics ( not much better news). The timer clicking round suggests an Indesit clone. When the timer clicks round the neon will flash then pause, however the control will keep on clicking round until you stop it.

If you do have error code 1 then that infers a short circuited triac, a faulty module in other words.

    Re: Indesit IDL705 1 +2 LED error

1 + 2 is supposed to signify a time out draining, that is to say it has not emptied in the time prescribed. Could be a blocked or jammed drain pump, blocked outlet hoses or even a faulty pump. It can also signify a software error. Either way, not something that can be sorted without opening the beast up. Please remove the plug if you intend to investigate, or try the link below for an engineer in your area.

Yep, wiring harness still intact and perfectly reusable. The large square blue component ( not a relay, possibly a capacitor) had cooked itself, look at the condition of the plastic watershed, looks like that was near to combustion.

Does SERVICENORTHWEST have trade access ? Looking at his profile it lists no posts even though he has made one in the public Washer/Dryer forum.

On another tack, regarding Martins post about soldering Bosch carbons, Indespoint states that he can change brushes on a Bosch motor fitted to a Hotpoint WMA in 10 minutes without removing the motor from the machine, one clever b****r if you ask me. From my secret contacts which have unfortunately been curtailed due to the possible industrial action at the Indecent Company I know that Indespoint is in fact an Indesit engineer who has the cheek to slag off Hotpoint on their FSE forum even though he has only been there two years.

Don’t worry yourself about this, as Martin says, don’t admit liability. If they insist on making a claim , contact your insurance company and leave it to them. We all pay them huge amounts of money over the years, let them deal with it, its what you have paid them for in the first place. My PLI has been £110.00 for many years, no excess whatsoever, £2M cover. Only had a couple of people tried to claim in 28 years, both trying it on, just left it to the insurance company and heard nothing after I passed the ball to them.

This one was bone dry, lovely house, large utility room, well away from any sink. First time the lid had been off since installed six years ago.

Sadly what you have is an Indesit appliance, fast becoming a byword for poor quality, unreliable appliances. Not sure about AL12, that doesn’t appear on the error codes list we currently have. However A12 on recent Indesit machines suggests a heater related fault, could be heater, control module, poor circulation, pressure switch etc.

A local engineer may be your best option, try the link below. Please remove the mains plug if you intend to have a look inside.
