Lets be honest about it, I have cardboard boxes in the garage that are more robust than the doors & cabinets on these machines. 😥

If so, you need to order the module.
🙁
BobHi Bob, suspected it might be, never had to change one but was just curious.

If the belt has come off after the machine was making a noise then you may have a failure in the main bearings. Replacing the belt would be a complete waste of time. Open the door and push up inside the inner drum, if you can see obvious movement of the inner drum, away from the rubber door seal at the bottom then that confirms a bearing failure. A major repair and not really one for the DIY enthusiast. Access from the back after removing the mains plug is by removal of the rear half of the cabinet.

Sorry Greg, I should have kept this to the original post, http://tinyurl.com/nkpnk
Not a D63 but I have looked at Partfinder and cannot see a thermistor for a DWM55 although it does have one.PS. I do hope you copied and pasted all that, would hate to think you typed it all. 😛

Bugger, this one seems to be working in reverse, loads of pressure to the top arm and nowt to the lower one.
Might be as well to take a valve just in case.
Thanks Dave.
PS. A little OT but can you see a thermistor on the DWM55 diagrams ❓

ModeratorRe: SHOCKING MODULE
They have the eeproms, just like all the other Indesit electronically controlled machines, they will need to have the correct eeprom fitted, the original replaced or a blank eeprom, reprogrammed with the EMIT enabled laptops I would guess. 😥

Agreed, but the OP was after a trade supplier for graded/new etc. That site is aimed at Joe Public, and checking the prices, it is not that competitive.

I have also worked on mainly Hotpoint machines for well over 35 years. I do not change a lot of WM hybrid timers, however the most common fault I get is blown tracks due to motor/interlock faults. Almost all of these I repair with a quick solder and a link.
Some years ago there was a fair number of machines sticking on heat and boiling due to control unit failure but that seems to be long in the past. I have changed several hybrid units for ‘no spin’ conditions even though the motor was running.
I have never, ever had a timer skipping the heat phase, when this has occurred it has always been a faulty heater or wiring.
And at 45 plus calls per week for 35 or more years works out at rather a lot of machines. The chances are I would have seen at least one machine skipping a heat pause due to timer failure by now.
That said, because the machine does advance out of the heat phase after a set time when the heater has failed, it does mean that many customers are blissfully unaware of any fault unless they have very heavily soiled laundry.

Unless it is old stock almost all bearing kits include the later bronze bearing now.

A well documented warning that has been aired on the boards many times, a repeat of this can do no harm at all though. 8)
