Regardless of the faults on the dishwasher, if your plug has ‘melted’ you have a serious problem with your plug and more than likely your wall socket.

I would suspect that if you reduced the amount of detergent to prevent oversudsing due to ultra soft water , you would also reduce the amounts of the other detergent components below their effective level.

    What should I do?

With a fault description like that, you really do need expert attention. It sounds as though something has shorted and damaged other electronic components.

Just checking manual, spin led flashing is normal and signifies OOB condition. you could save yourself a wasted journey. 😉

    Tell them to RTFM. 😆

No flash error codes by number on these. Check all obvious things, brushes, loose or chafing wiring, especially near the front balance weight, partially blocked sump, OOB loads etc.

Try the ‘Last error detected’ routine in the Known Error Codes thread at the top of this forum.

    ironic really.

The only picture I found was after clicking on Handbook.

Surely you don’t mean ironic, but iron on it. 😆 😆

Looks like an ‘Easter Egg’ stuck in by a bored software compiler.

    Re: Solarglo element Creda 48435

Hi Bryan, that alternative is definately listed as a ceramic element, not a fast acting solarglo. This customer does want the correct element. I suspect that Masterpart does not want to stock it. It is still listed on the latest version of Partfinder, new this week, so I guess I will have to source it from somewhere other than MP.

Unfortunately most of it is bad experience, 😥 If you look at the high number of posts about recent Hotpoint machines, together with the Indesit/Ariston machines, then consider that they now have Indesit electronics in them it will give you some idea of the problem we have in advising you. The small timer itself can suffer, usually burnt contacts, the module itself could have another fault.

This model range is not noted for its reliability/longevity unfortunately.
The engineers from the Indesit company have specialist software on their company issue laptops to aid fault finding that is unavailable to the independent trade, thus making diagnosis of uncommon faults very difficult, even for the so called ‘experts’.

    Re: Hotpoint TS12 Dryer

No problem, still reckon its your jockey pulleys, very common fault. If it returns it will be advisable to change both pulleys. You can order them here.

Unless of course your machine has the later stretchy belt fitted, then it may be belt wear.

If the date code (first two numbers of serial number) is 02 or higher then it will have the later belt without any jockey pulleys.

If it does have jockey pulleys the part number is 1740944.

Not seen this fault, but the Bosch experts may have a better idea. It does look like an inner tub out job to access the circulation pump and its associated bits. 😥

Hughie wrote: Have not machines been recalled in the past for faults such as this?

The door wiring harness is an inherent weak spot in any dishwasher, every time you open the door you bend the wiring. Some manufacturers cope better with this fault than others. As far as I am aware there was no recall on this possibly Bosch produced machine. Many years ago, Zanussi dishwasher door wiring did have a habit of setting on fire, even when not in use, with disastrous consequences. I have not seen any such combustion problems with your machine, but the fault you show in your picture is very common.
