Yeh, but she doesn’t know the whole of the advert tag line 😉

That effort will get you a sniff of the barmaids apron, but you are close.

Worth mentioning that if it really is under five years old then it should be covered for parts under Hoover’s parts warranty, you should only have to pay the labour charge, much cheaper than buying a new machine.

If I let the oldies have a go the should know the answer. Still it would only mean me paying for a couple of glasses of Sanatogen, another one for the wrinklies 😉

Well in the first two one day matches England have managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. 😥

    Getting closer though. 🙂

Mike could be correct, It is worth checking that you actually have water coming out of the hoses. If you have the small red & blue plastic taps, and you turned them off to repair the machine, it is possible that a tap has stuck in the closed position even though the plastic bit turns. It is a very common fault.

Full cabinet lift off, excluding front & back, jockey pulleys are the most common cause of noise.

We cannot give you step by step instructions for safety and legal reasons, but I will give you a cryptic clue. Pull the timer knob off. 😉

Please make sure you remove the plug first or click on the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help.

    Re: Hotpoint WM61

Is it a WM61P, if so the door kit is a 1602464, hinge is 1601473.
    That is a white door.

WM61N is 1602466. Natural Linen coloured door.

NB. That does not include the door glass bowl which is 1602523, you will also need hinge blocks 1603030.

Re: Should I help out here

Another dilemma, or perhaps I am just being curmudgeonly. I could send ‘wash-freeze’ a wiring diagram but then I look at his contribution since his registration in 2004 and notice that he has only made nine or ten posts, all but one asking for help, virtually no other contribution to the forums. I looked at his website and to be honest, if I was as big a poser as that, I would make sure I had the requisite manuals before I promoted myself in that way.

I just feel he is using ukwg’s as a free tech service, whilst putting absolutely nothing back. 😥
