Re: Indesit WIDL 126uk Washer/Dryer Drying Query

Hi Dave, cold fill only on this machine, through a three way valve. If it is a new machine then its back to Indesit .

You are leaving the cold water turned on when using the drying cycle, if you are then cold inlet system to condensor could be faulty.

You should use something called a comm stick. Usually available from main spares wholesalers, also model shops sell comm sticks for use in radio controlled cars etc.

Bye eck, £164.59 list price inc Vat. 😥

However, I have convinced the customer that a new motor on this machine is a better use of £200+ than his intended course of action, which was to go and buy a new £200 washer. 🙂

Just had a look on Bosch Quickfinder, is the motor brush housing not available as a separate part for this model?

This is another quality company, I have had a dial up account with Zen for over nine years, still keep it as an ultra reliable backup, instant phone or e-mail support, always at the top or very near on any survey, and they are from Rochdale. 🙂

£19.99 is only for six months and with the usual ASDL 50 to 1 contention, I’ll stick with my NTL, soon to be 10MB with a 20 to 1 contention. 🙂

The only similar problem I’ve found on this forum sugested checking the dampers. Does this seem reasonable?

Very reasonable, the screws holding the dampers to the chassis do occasionally come adrift, also the plastic peg securing the top of each damper to the tub can come out, this normally only happens if they have not been replaced on an outer drum change. Simple to check, unplug first lean the machine backwards against a cupboard or a wall and shine a torch underneath. It will be obvious if the dampers are adrift.

I have had a timer repaired at QER for this fault, they replaced it with a small removable fuse and holder, needless to say, my request to them for advice on obtaining this part myself fell on deaf ears. 😉

If that hose is clear you can bet the turbidary sensor is as well!

My thoughts exactly on both counts. 🙂

    Re: Hotpoint DWF34

Got the machine to run on test using the S2 & S4 buttons as in the WDF32 manual. display sticks on 1, pressing S3 will not advance to next step of test programme as it should. Error code 1 is supposed to be turbidity sensor fault according to DWF 30/1/2 manual, even though it also states that in fact none of DWF30/1/2 models actually have a turbidity sensor. Checking PartFinder shows that the DWF34 does have a turbidity sensor, anyone had any problems with this and is it an inner tub out to access job?

Also noticed that selecting S2 & S4 to ‘end programme’ switches the display to 0, but it sometimes sticks for several minutes without switching off.
I did have a look at the plastic hose that runs along the front of the pump that often gets blocked, it was as clean as new.

Re: ariston (margherita) A1535 advantage spin problem

When it fails, does the control knob keep rotating and does the mains indicator light flash. If the light does flash then count the number of flashes between each pause. This is an error code.

When you say “Will pump out water if on a no spin cycle” does that mean that it does not pump out on a spin cycle?
