Good call Chris, plastic ducting split, brackets broken everywhere. Makes the 15 year old Hotpoint 9945 Micropofile washer/dryer that I repaired this morning for £35 look very good by comparison.
I have identified two of the three parts required on the Bosch website but cannot see the other.
I have plastic ducting as, 35 5033
Front bracket as, 09 5207
but I cannot see the bracket that secures the right hand end of the plastic duct to the top of the drum.Any ideas as to this and also price of these?

Which is why I’ll let some of the guys that have had the detergent training explain as they all should now know why it happens and how to solve it as it is a bit more involved. 😉Anyway, prevention is better than cure.

OK – so what is the theory behind using a detergent?
Also while we are the subject, what do you think is the cause of the light brown gunge that coats the inside of some tubs (usually Hotpoints) when you open them up for a bearing job. I have had machines where this is so thick that it virtually fills the gap between the drum and the tub. Whereas others are squeeky clean inside.
I have never been able to establish a common factor to explain this. It does not seem to be dependant on area, degree of customer hygene, powder / liquid etc.
I did used to suspect fabric conditioner but I have been to machines that have the gunge but the owner does not use it?
Andy
Quality of detergent/dosage/temperature.

Because it couldn’t be any worse. 😥 It does seem to be a big improvement, I have not seen any fail, ( yet ) 😉iadom

Number 8 bullet drill does the trick, usually lasts for three or four spiders.
A 1604470, is spider/seals/ bolts all in one.
I normally use the Blue Peter approach, “heres one I made earlier”
I have a complete drum made up at home then swapping them over in the home is fairly simple, and much less messy. Then I rebuild the displaced drum with whatever is required in my garage.iadom

This machine does not have a reversing timer in the base, the selector swicth/timer controls the motor direction.

ModeratorRe: Creda Concept Solarplus Cooker Control Knob Access
Accessing the controls on this appliance is not easy, more than the hob needs removing to access all the screws involved. I would strongly recommend doing as P45 suggests and look in Repairs@
To be honest, it is very rare for this type of control to work loose, its sounds as though the control itself may have failed.iadom

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint TDL60 Tumble Drier
Motor direction on this is controlled by the timer/selector switch, part No:1702096 which in turn controls the relays on the module.
It does tumble for a very long time in one direction ( clockwise ) with the heater on, but only for a short time in reverse with the heater off.

Its evolved from using a terminal driver to open up the clasp and re using to replacing with jubilee clips, check part finder for number.
Do you mean a 1801927 priced at £4.92 + vat. :eeek:iadom
ModeratorRe: WMA 33
Will do.
mbdas has a good point, the wiring loom from motor to module is available as a separate part. No:1603396, only a couple of pounds.
