It doesn’t matter what the light is called, is it light 1, 2 , 3 etc from the top down.

    Re: Hotpoint WF340 lights?

If it is the top light or mini load light then that is an F08 error code.:(

If you do a forum search for Indest+eight+flashes you may want to kick it in touch after reading them.;)

Supposed to be a heater relay fault on main pcb.

Worn brushes will stop the machine from working, even stop it filling and would be the first thing to change.

Do you mean the Mini load light, don’t think there is a half load light.

    Re: Display totally dead?

Another one with identical fault today, never did reconcile the last one as customer didn’t want to take a chance on new board. πŸ™

Is the one you fitted a board to still running Boselecta?

    Jim.

    Re: Indesit IDC85

On certain models the neutral feed goes through the safety cut out stat, if that fails the machine will appear dead.

Push in, push out…pull off. πŸ˜‰

The fault you have caused sounds expensive. πŸ˜₯

    Could be heater thermostat failure.

Has this dryer had the fire safety modifications done?

Yes, be sure to isolate from mains first.

Not an uncommon fault, decent, low cost alternative motor is available in the site shop. Just remember the fan securing nut is a left hand thread. πŸ˜‰

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/buyi … load-sizes

It does sound like overloading, 5kg of dry laundry is a huge load and would need ramming into most machines. πŸ™

A simple guide when loading is to put the laundry in until you can just fit a clenched fist above the dry laundry, if you are pushing it in with the door or you cannot get a fist above it then you have too much in it, as mentioned in the articles above, poor wash results will ensue.

Nothing much has changed since the Which report found the average wash load in the UK was 2.2 kg. Anything over a 6kg load is pointless IMHO. πŸ˜‰

Looked at that other timer which is listed as a timer kit, unfortunately it doesn’t come up as suitable for your model.
