Re: Hello Everybody ..Ci555. small prob

Not one I have seen TBH.

Is the control knob set exactly to a programme and not slightly between settings.

What happens if you press and hold the Start/Pause/Cancel button then wait for the door to unlock then try it again?

Not true, machine is a Whirlpool based dryer, still under the Hotpoint five year parts warranty for a start.

Control module ‘if required’ is part number C00384391, list price Β£86.50.

Not familiar with this model of dryer but it was a very common fault on Whirlpool washing machine control modules.

You may need to contact Hotpoint direct as this is an exclusive machine produced to replace the fire risk dryers. Hotpoint will do the whole repair for labour charge only.

    Re: Load & Unload Issue

Model number is essential, some machines are hot and cold fill, more recent ones cold fill only. A faulty hot fill valve could cause this problem, especially if you have a combi boiler. It will sound as though it is filling but if you look in the detergent drawer you may just see a trickle at the back. Could also be main pcb failure, very flakey on these, drain pump energised at the wrong time one of many known faults. πŸ™

Are you getting any lights flashing?

    Don’t over complicate things. πŸ™‚

A loose tacho would cause the motor to run erratically and is not that common a problem on these machines.

Apart from user misuse pump blockages, worn motor brushes are the most common fault on all makes of machines that use brush gear motors.

Merged your posts, duplicating posts only leads to confusion.

You should do as advised first. πŸ˜‰

Your post is missing the most important piece of information, MAKE AND MODEL?

    Re: Creda TVU1

Only one comm code for this model, differences are serial number related.

That is also the only relay listed for this model, not sure if that picture is correct but only three terminals are used either way.

I will send the manual to the email address I have for you from 2011. πŸ˜‰

Could be a stuck or damaged float mechanism, it is in the small grey plastic ‘lump’ you can see, bottom right looking at the back. The top prises off with a bit of a fiddle.

No sensor for overloading I’m afraid.

Likely cause a faulty wiring connection or wiring burnt out at mains filter, possibly even a faulty mains plug or pcb failure.

Hmm, a bit of a puzzling statement that Dave, πŸ™‚

Actually just had the roller brush out, looks fine so drive shaft bearing is a possibllity.

Do you know the part number?

Common causes of poor performance, blocked filters, blocked or badly crushed or kinked rear vent hose, outlet vent on wall outside blocked, heater not working.

If the instructions are as specific as that then only a fool would ignore them. :con:

Temperatures could be compromised, cooling down time could be different. You would certainly have no warranty on the new element and may damage your dryer to boot.

Plus, that thing hanging down is the thermostat. It should be secured up and away from the fan in that small clip you can see at 1.00 o’clock. πŸ˜‰

I have merged your duplicate posts, posting several posts on the same topic can lead to confusion, best to keep it in one place. πŸ™‚

Have you looked in the Store HERE ?

If we don’t have it you could try The Element Man

NB. Do not attempt to bend it back into shape under any circumstances.
