ParticipantRe: LG WM-1375FHB
Paul hi
According to the LG technical information on the unit a, de error code is a door lock problem. Either the start/stop button has been pressed before the door is locked or the door lock itself is faulty.
I hope this helps.

ParticipantRe: ex display LG oven
Yes indeed.
Demo mode was my thinking and I was trying to look up the model and therefore the necessary codes to see if we could get round it. Unfortunately, if LG UK do not recognise it, I cannot help further.
Sorry

ParticipantRe: Haier HU-GDZ5-1
Hi
According to Haier Technical, this unit was produced only for the Chinese and Cyprus Markets and was never available in the UK.
Consequently, they advise me NO spares are available in the UK for service this product.
I am not aware of any UK equivalent item to assist you with.
Sorry for the bad news

ParticipantRe: leaving the appliance in a dangerous condition?
Hi
All the above is sound advice.
Send the customer a letter by recorded delivery advising that in your opinion the removal of the cover makes the appliance dangerous and until the situation is corrected, he/she/they should not use the equipment.
As the last qualified person to look at the items, a degree of responsibility for the safety of the users and those around them, come back to you. Should something untoward happen then it is not a he said. I said argument you have the evidence in black and white. It costs about a pound, which IMHO is a pound well spent if it goes tits up.

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP8101/ ADP8102/ ADP8122 – PLEASE HELP!
Hi
Within the door hinges are some tension straps to smooth out the door opening and closing movement. It sounds like these have probably failed.
It is a good idea to change the hinges, runners and straps at the same time as very little additional work is required to do this than do just one section of them.
Thankfully these come as a set and also includes the lower main door seal.
If you use the shop@ facility within this web site, you can see the parts being sold as a kit. Carefully inspect the inner hinges and straps, with the appliance disconnected from the mains supply for your own safety. If any part of the hinges or straps are broken, then this kit will be needed to rectify the problem. If you are unsure about any aspect, seek professional advice and use the repairs@ facility within this website to source a reliable and reputable engineer to sort it for you.
The parts needed, I suspect are part number 32X0611 available from this web site.
Good luck!

Easy unless a drum change is involved.
Pumps are notoriously useless. So bad we have them shipped in direct from Korea in boxes of 144 at a time, so I suspect a no drain will be the pump.

ParticipantRe: tecnik ( Bosch ) hob part number req?
John Hi
I am lead to believe the current part number for this is 289561, which Bosch recognise as a 140mm 1200W 220v Hilight Ceramic Hotplate Element.
In stock at Connect and they have pictures of it if that helps.
Take care my friend!

ParticipantRe: Baumatic BDW13
According to the service manual, Error E3 is a faulty pressure switch or system.
My engineers advise it is common for the pressure system to gunk up which causes the unit to heat too quickly and trigger the E3 fault. I would check the pressure system first to be sure, but yes otherwise, change both the safety stat and the thermostat.
PM me if you need the Service Manual.

Hi David
If your buying a Panasonic Washer then please advise where abouts you live so I can order a rear tub and bearing assy and door seal for you, ready to be fitted.
If you are disappointed with an ISE, then I am afraid your gonna be mightily upset with the Pano!
And yes, we are Service Agents for both!

ParticipantRe: customer wants money back!!!
The interesting thing is the cheque payment (whether covered by the soon to be as dead as a dodo cheque card or not).
Once you have the cheque, it proves 1 million percent a contract existed and to stop it lawfully, she would need permission of the Courts, which would cost her a small fortune to obtain.
Banking the cheque was the correct thing to do. Had it of bounced, you could have used it to provide evidence to any court and they would have found in your favour automatically.
There are very limited defences to a bounced cheque, none of which apply here in this case and especially not a deliberate attempt to renegotiate the original contract.
If the customer try’s to cause you issue for your business or in your private life, the police is the correct line of action. They have good powers under the Protection from Harassment Act of 1997.
