    Re: Whirlpool AWG338

I have not saw one of these for a few years but they used to have a problem with the harness chaffing on the underside of the timer as well as the usual module/motor problems you get on the Servis models.Timer faults were rare on this one.
If it is a motor or module get the number printed on the part as you will get the parts at a fraction of the price from AWS

Re: working on gas cookers information

There is nothing to stop anyone who is not Gas Safe registered from doing electrical or cosmetic work on a gas appliance as long as during the course of this work you do not disconnect any gas bearing component.
If you need the gas hose to be disconnected during the repair it is fine if the customer unplugs the hose and reconnects it but you cannot do it at any time if you are not Gas Safe registered.

    Hi Washman,

What you said is not quite correct, and it is also one of the rules that mystifies me.

If you are not Gas safe registered, and are working in a customers house, you cannot disconnect a bayonet fitting from a gas cooker to effect a repair. The customer can disconnect the hose and then reconnect it after you are finished with the electrical side of the appliance.

    Re: kuppersbush fan element

    Thanks Bryan,

I thought it looked like a common element, do you know who makes this cooker model EEB9640-0JX-72. I also need a cooling fan and a couple of safety stats for this and the cooling fan is £90 but once again looks familiar.

    Hi Raymond,

The model number is suspect but going by the serial number it appears to be a Servis clone, if so look at PMP952 on Connect as that should be the correct one.

Looks like the model number is wrong, Diplomat dishwashers model numbers start with either ABA, ACA, ADP OR APL

It is not just you Jim, me also.

I wonder what kind of life they have when they talk to each other constantly via a forum, they are probably both on the same couch with their laptops waiting for one to post so the other can send a reply 😆 and the obsession with Miele is bordering on madness.

We need to get them to post the wedding pictures for a laugh!!!
