Those two neons are to tell you that the salt chamber and rinse aid dispenser are empty.

I’m sure that you have seen pharmaceutical advertising in doctor’s offices on everything from tissues to note pads.

Well, in my book, this one should get the prize….

I e-mailed it to my Chinese doctor friend…

    He e-mailed back:
“If light stay on more than 4 hours, call erectrician.”

    Re: whirlpool AVM965/1x microwave/ cooker hood combo…….

Just took a lok at the wiring diagram for this one and the quality of the diagram is worse than the microwave itself. It can only be one of the door switches or god forbid the ccu which going by my out of date price list is £184….

Cut your losses and run methinks.

    Easy job Mike.
The strange clips are actualy lid hinges, take out the the screws on the clips, take the filter out and you will see two screws there to remove. Then push the lid forward from the back and pull upwards on the front of the lid, it will hinge up from front to back, be careful here as the clips might fall out. Disconnect the door microswitch and then take out the two screws at the top of the front panel. Pull the front panel up and it will release the hooks that hold the bottom of the panel on and it should be obvious from there on in.

Re: Where can you get one of these ??

They have never been available in the UK as a spare part, lots of Whirlpool engineers had them issued to them years ago but no more.
I find a pair of mole grips clamped onto the nut and a quick whack with a hammer gets them off easily

    Hi Al,

We would never condone bypassing anything, the button is there for a reason and if bypassed and something went wrong your house insurers would not pay out.
If you can have a multimeter it is easy to check and see if the button is faulty. If it is faulty can you post the 12nc number from the oven ( on the barcode label starting 85***) and I will get the part number for you.

Re: Whirlpool AKZ446 FCSM6 2.3kw Single Oven Displaying ‘Sto

Has the main oven knob been switched to the off position before you press the middle button??

If not turn it to off then try again, if it is at off and still does not set then the most likely culprit will be the middle button.
