    Ive tested the element it tested okay i suspect it was a choked condensor as the customer cleaned every thing when it stopped working, she said it was taking ages to dry recently before it packed in,

    The steam
    elements are prone to going down to earth done loads, think they must be gold plated at the price they charge.

    I did the whole thing for a friend comes with selector switch stat etc wasnt to bad to do i was about an hour doing it i think.

    Had one doing this the other week would wash okay and distribute okay but wouldnt spin it was the timer/control unit that caused it part n/o 1320558123. JJ

    If it is like the free standing ones it will be on the back of the machine, and it will have to come out to replace i’ve had 2 or 3 of the bog standard ones not running and it was the pcb.

    Turn both control knobs to off and then back on should clear it.

    Get loads with a chaffed pressure hose at the moment, but sounds like a board fault to me but who knows? the weird and wonderful world of Indesit could be anything?

    I would have been 30 years this year i went franchise just over 6 years ago, should,ve done IT years before i only keep doing Indesit work so i dont have all my eggs in one basket. But The mystery of t+epay scale is T
    he Indesit way nobody will discuss what anybody elses on so you get nowhere.

    anyone know the pay scale an Indesit engineer is on?, i think im on £19,750.
    That is the mystery with Indesit nobody knows the grades now they want you to do more for not much more?

    I have 2 lying in my lockup i’ve never used one for years i just use a big screwdriver and stretch the belt over the pulley with it, done 100’s that way easy peasy.
