Module, Pressure switch or an element down to earth take your pick if the element insulation is okay i would be changing the module.

2 screws undernesth remove all the knobs and a dunt to the left and it should come off might be stuck due to spillage, on the sponge seal on the top.

More than likely the thermistors, sometimes the evaporator fan motor works on test but cuts out on normal operation could be the door switch i suppose as the fan is operated by it , i wouldnt think it is a system fault as the refigeration side of these was the one thing Hopoint got right with these.

Re: Hotpoint WMF760 stuck on 1 minute?

I had 1 doing it after throwing about everything at it, it was still doing it as a last throw of the dice i put a pressure switch on it and bingo i had it cured, indesit electronics are totaly baffling at times. If the heater and wiring are okay in yours Jim i would plump for the module most of the time. JJ

    Re: Premature Bearing Failure

The old Hotpoint drum supports on the Wm series etc used to use a phosphor bronze collar which helped lubricate the bearing seal, but they found with the new detergents drew the the lubricationg oils out the collar and allowed a path for water to get past the seal, they then changed to to stainless and then brass, down side was that sometimes caused them to squeak especialy on the washer dryers i always put a smear of grease on the collar when i changed bearings and support as there was a good chance you would get a recall for squeaking.
