Re: Pay up front for Hotpoint repairs

How about this for a customer caring company, an old lady in her eighty’s on a D & G policy phoned up and told the contact centre that her console panel on her dishwasher got caught on a drawer and cracked open, was advised that she wasnt covered as it was cosmetic and would have to pay up front, which she did when i got there there was an almighty hole and the on/off sw was hanging loose inside the old dear was sticking her fingers in to sw it on and off with the mains on. Another one i fitted a v2 tub about 8 months ago which was paid for got a call back the motor had fallen due to crack in the motor mounting bracket on the v2 tub, the young couple had paid up front for the second visit and i advised same part fitted you will get your money back, ah! i forgot about this wonderful caring company they tried everything not to give them their money back.

I always loop a a small cable tie behind the tab, saves a recall bit of a bugger for anybody who follows later on.

I’ve known a few engineers who have lobbed the Jockey pulleys away, and replaced with a stretchy belt either bcause they didint have the correct belt or replacement Jockey pulleys on the van, because of pressure of RFT from above.

Check for jammed buttons this will lock the board out, if not sounds like a new module.
