Re: Diplomat ADP 8352 Power but not working

    im no expert but
unsure from that description pcb maybe faulty now
but when ever u get 3 light leak in base fairly common after that that display goes down due to low insulation on motor and wires causing u to get no display leds on left hand side cause by damp water in base wait and it will dry out up to week or try using hair dryer on very bottom for while or can jump start machine by turn on then of and then u get power to light for 3 secs pick any progranve other than rinse then turn back on again before light fades and heat from motor and element will help dry it out.
best option hair dryer throught black flap for while and wait

    Re: Diplomat APM8512-1 – Fault

im no expert but i think
the apm8513 1200 spin will use the module ending in 1400 they been in market for only 2 years ish
apm8512 1200 spin will use module ending in 201 they can be many years old mark 01/ 02 will make no diffrence normally .
the first 4 numbers on ya serial number will give u year like 2004 ……..
normally if the machine that uses module ending in 1400 u will have a sticker over the old detail sticker stating this reqiures module number
    motor number
    and another 2/3 parts
at very bottom front of machine
the 401 number i not heared of before they do update there nunmbers but i got a new 1400 module few days ago and was same number if we going by extracare part numbers on the boxes hope this helps and good luck

    hi im no expert
is my view i was under impression company u bought it of buy out the warrenty and whirlpool would not touch it as its under a diffrent name.
6 or 7 big diffrence as post above says.

if it drains then fills and u HEAR WATER going in for about 20 secs then it bleeps and drains and u get f7 then the sensor on the air brake is faulty , i don,t think u can buy them seprate think they come in new air brake not the cheapest of items.

iF it drains and goes to fill and u don,t hear water but hear a huming its a kinked pipe nm how old can happen ages after its been fitted and u get f6 fault after 20 secs can be other thing but that would be my first choices
    is only my view

but i don,t agree with the no tablets , i would put it down to 1 tablet the all in and 5in 4 in and 3in 1 finish tablets or powder that are to much for the slime line dw.other makes are normally ok unless they made by finish p

is it a leak or foam ?
    unplug machine
get water out of base either through black cap at bottom or tilt machine .
run machine with no tablets or powder many times see if water comes back in to machine if water does u have a leak if it don,t its a foam issue.
i find people pack the dispencer out with to much powder when they use is why i prefer tablets but just stay of the finish ones as they are very rich and foam alot, many of times i been to people that have changed to finished to due offer and problem has occoured but i know many that agree with above post allso this is only my view

Re: Diplomat/Smeg ADP8221 Sticking on drain sequence

    im no expert but
sounds like a old version with the 4/5 buttons if its smeg /diplomat where u have to old down the button to start it those timers can be screwey, but if your motor had siezed likely chance the stat has clicked ie the cut out stat due to a lack of motion the element has got to hot and the stat that sits in between the element has over heated,
the timer is waiting to be told by the stat that u have reached tempture but if its cut out the element will be getting no power so the machine stay in same postion forever untill stat tells the timer to move on.
    cure?
if white stat will have a red reset button below the element underneath
i belive if black stat it may have a reset button or it may not / if not new stat required.
Im guessing if has the push buttons time it be old version black stat with no rest
    hope this helps

Re: Diplomat ADP 8242 Faulty Pump?

machine on its side , black base and few pop lugs that let u remove base with flat blade screw driver MAKE SURE U unplug machine before u do anything 😆

    but
if u take bottom front plate of and shine a torch some times u can see if capacitor has gone by the crap hanging of it where its blown, some times u can,t tell untill u looking at it but as i said if u hear a humming its the capactior

Re: Diplomat ADP 8242 Faulty Pump?

im no expert but family fotunes says
    90/100 capacitor
    10/100 motor
    1/ 1000 pcb
most likely either the capacitor on the motor that has visual signs thats its gone <( normally this )<<<
    or the motor it self.

using the cocktail glass symbol programme
once the water as gone in and the dispencer has open do u hear a humming noise? if u put ya head to the door if so it will be the capacitor thats is faulty
if u hear nothing most likely that motor will be faulty.

allso if u ran machine for long time with no wash action u may find u have to rest the stat at bottom of machine near motor cause the element over heats if no wash motion ie push the red button p just push it anyway when u change the faulty part

Re: Need to buy a new Washer-Dryer…Help I’m clueless!!!

long time ago some expert on the tv reckon if u never got warrenty and stuff all ya money in a jar u have enough to buy a new items when needed.
but u have to take the luck factor and useage a 12month standard +4 warrenty can save u aload of hazzle.
companys do make alot of money on there warrentys and some will come back with a second offer ie i spoken to my manger and he said i can do blar blar and some won,t come back with another offer.
end of the day is what u think sounds right.
if i bought a machine that was alot of money say 400 pounds
and they offered me warrenty for say 180 i would say no if the offer was near 100 or less i would say probaly say yesbut it all boils down to what u think is good value.

listen to what the installer and engineer says they don,t come to your house to lie to you. instead of making loads of phone calls getting wound up by some call center speaking to 8 million people trying to blame someone else ,when its your plumbing
ps i never seen anyone do a pressure test before fitting a wm in all my years, i would just suggest y pipe if i was ya fitter or if filled with both on hot wash to blank the hot
I think this machine fils with cold then hot then cold so
as post above says y pipe is best option .

edited just re read my response sounds nasty
when i read some posts it just reminds me of those classic words that every engineer must of heared at 1 point of another
it was all right before you touched it 👿
it was not doing that before u touched it 👿

    Re: adp 8902 problems

this sounds like u gona need a engineer or get rid of machine everthing u had i suspect is linked to 1 problem
do u have both left and right angel plastic bit in at bottom of door seal?

door seal i doub,t u need , is water comming from hole underneath most likely the o rings need replacing if it the 2 o rings model ,don,t have a system accesss to check which of the 2 u have going by model number as there are 2 types so going by memory
if water is pouring out from bottom of door after while , while its filling i think this is ya same first problem and u gona need a engineer to look at it

ps if u got the 2 o ring white air brake model if washer leak u need to replace them cleaning them and putting back does not work.
everything u listed are sysmtons of the problem need to find the problem
i suspect is a leak related low insulation on ya machine normal compoent is motor on low insualtion and air break o rings for leak and low insulation screws ya module up while running and cause it to do anything .
i do think u need to get it checked out by engineer before u throw any money on parts but i suspect will not be a cheap repair

Re: Need to buy a new Washer-Dryer…Help I’m clueless!!!

asked so many times this question
are u buying to impress or functional ?
2 options 1 option got to shop any name and buy either cheapest machines u can find and u have enough money for least 1 more machine for the furture+ get the 5 year warrenty if they do it cheaply allways say no on the first offer on warrenty if it sounds like alot
option 2 buy name but u just paying for the name maybe abit lower {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} that it will go wrong less , but alot of the times its all pot luck and customer useage
as a caution i found many people that go from free standing tumble dryer to wd are not impressed with the quality of wd on drying if u allready have a wd and like it try to keep to same.
only real diffrence on any wm/d is size of drum and spin speed rest makes no diffrence or direct drive if u really going upmarket
ff realy only diffrence is size
i,ve seen unknow cheap models last for ages and highr end models to be crap and the reverse as well

blue air break has the flap and tube that causes e2 fault

white air break don,t have the flap and tube that causes e2 fault sorry brain going abit slow just 2 / o rings that leak no tube or flap on white air brake models

    Re: adp 8902 problems

hole with flap is inside the sump ie open door look down
many diffrent codes means u in test programme or u got low insulation and its screwing ya module up new module will only cure this for short time u need to a insulation check on machine first modules are costly.

    at a guess

    option 1 test programme
    option 2 faulty module
option 3 had slow leak that got worst as o rings got worst untill u noticed . motor got damp u now have low insulation that screwing up ya module
