    Re: Bosch Dishwasher Aquastop Valve

i’d say it should be vertical downwards as per the confusing lightening bolt symbol. i have seen them work fine horizontal. as suggested a quick test with a hose is worth doing.

reviving this thread as ive encountered exactly this problem today.
turn the selector knob to any posityion and the end light stays lit and will not respond to any button.
did you manage to cure this or anyone else know what the answer is.

its not me thats working for the landlord. because argos is the only pick up and take away retailer in my rural area, a lot of my private customers have them. they didnt know any better and thankfully nobody complains when i give them the bill for whatever the fault was.
when i do landlord work they have to book the call by email and agree that they are paying the bill. otherwise i dont go.

totally agree with you that our trade is now being undervalued by cheap machines.my point is that rather than refuse to go to a bush, you may as well fix it and get paid.
if i turned down say only three bush jobs a week that would be £560/month just for 10mins unblocking a pump. sorry but in this climate i can’t turn down that sort of money.

    no offence taken

and new hoover plastic pulleys and even a few zanussi as well. mate of mine refuses to go to bush machines but like has been said it’s work and they arent bad compared to overpriced merloni crap.
sticky buttons in the control panel have been a common fault ive seen. and the usual, a blocked pump on this is same as blocked pump on any no matter what the quality. and its easier and less painful for the customer when you write off a bush as opposed to say an aqualtis costing loads more.

Re: white knight TD no heat

ive got two white knight jobs awaiting timers. it looks like the later type of timer is crap. both of them one day apart is not out-putting any voltage to the heater circuit. when i get the new one fitted im going to open the old ones up to see whats happened.

    thanks
so if i understand correctly, the momentary push of the timer knob kicks the motor into action and then the switch on the motor keeps the circuit closed.
    i’ll look into that tomorrow.

i must have been lucky then. i had same wires broken and assumed they were both from thermistor and just randomely soldered them and it worked. if they are for different components then thanks for heads-up i’ll check better next time.

    Re: Beko dishwashers

yes ive seen this a few times. i basically just fit a new board but have kept the old ones to solder in better quality relays although i havent yet cos they are such a resonable price.
in fact ive booked a job for this for next monday.
