Is there no error code being displayed on the panel as that sounds, though I can’t be sure, like a heater problem.

I can’t find that model number I might find it on the serial number but, there’s not a lot of info I can see on any of them that are close.

This was an interesting bit of news on what this might be and, if it is then don’t touch with a bargepole!

That is an unusual set of things to happen all at once. And, I suspect, could be more than one problem to find.

There are no electronics as such in that cooker, though having the service indix or SI number will help as there are multiple versions, you only really have the clock, beyond that it’s all old school electro-mechanical switches etc.

I’d first look for anything obvious on the switches, burning, arcing or something clearly broken then go from there.

Bearings gone would be the first guess and, if it’s that noisy, the drum is possibly damaged.

From all you describe I’d be 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure the motor was toast.

If it were me, I’d probably go with the Asko.

I fear that without drilling and sealing, you likely won’t be able to solve that problem and a wireless probe won’t work as it’s inside a metal box.

I deleted the post and gave an infraction, little button to the far left on the lower edit/quote etc bar on the post. You can use it to warn people you’re onto them and other mods can see the infractions.

I never liked Lockring stuff so didn’t use it, I’d braze as I found that to be much more reliable. And, brazing was monumentally cheaper.

Oh that’s a tough one. Depends on how much you value the customer I suppose but also, technically and morally you should probably do it FOC.

I’ll give you a bit of a starter.

If the cooker has any more than a minor problem, then it’s probably more appropriate to consider a replacement, more so as at that age, many, if not all, parts are liable to be obsolete. So, chances are you might not have any other option than to replace it.

Then consider this, if (conservatively) you paid say £400 for that cooker in 2005, in today’s money that’s over £700 with inflation. To get to £900 or more isn’t remotely a challenge like-for-like.

What you replace it with very much depends on what you want, how much you cook and so on, there’s no easy answer to that I’m afraid as it will vary wildly depending on what’s required.
