Re: Electromechanical stat instead of control board

Trouble is, it was never designed to be used that way.

So, where do you put the phial tip, what stat you use? Who knows, at best it’d be an educated guess.

At worst, it’ll ruin food or poison you.

Re: Electromechanical stat instead of control board

    Highly not recommended.

But to even begin, you’d need to know the setup and, if it’s all low voltage stuff and an inverter compressor then it’s probably not even possible.

However, I’d suggest you thoroughly read the following two articles:

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fix- … components

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/buyi … tallations

Refrigeration for boats and caravans etc are specifically designed to cope and work in those environments, normal domestic units are not. It’s pretty much that simple.

Virtually no modern domestic appliances are designed for off grid use, they just can’t cope with it.

Re: Spares for LOFRA freestanding cooker MX76MFI/C Serial No

They are specific so, you need the correct ones for that model.

If you drop Dave an email on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk he should be able to get them for you, if they are indeed still available. Although he won’t be able to do much of anything now on it till Tuesday.

I know there’s issues with those heaters that throw up weird faults but I’m not sure on it to be honest.

Only thing you can do is test it for earth leakage as that’d be the probable reason for it being faulty.

    Re: Qualtex

The entire pack is branded in a lot of cases Martin, it’s not just a sticky label whacked on the box!

And as it clearly so clearly advertises the 4home site, if your customer wanted they could easily go and check the price online or whatever, buy other parts from there, who knows.

Putting your own sticky label on top could not obscure that branding, no way, no how.

If the pump impeller is loose (faulty) then under load it may not be moving or moving as it should so, poor draining.

Agreed on the packing, the order cut off doesn’t bother me just as much.

I have mentioned this to the current rep we have for Qualtex and that it is affecting what we order from them quite dramatically but they don’t really seem to be all that interested in doing anything about it.

I think we now have about halved the business we were doing with Qualtex, largely due to this alone.

To be able to help you will need to give the PNC or model number but, the PNC number is better.

Re: WIS24140GB/07 Flashing Start/Pause light and not startin

As I said, I’m not familiar with the machine and Bosch technical isn’t available to me but, I’d expect that not to be the interlock however I couldn’t say for sure.

Re: Hoover D6990 Tumble Dryer (Soft Wave)

The part number was 09088535 and it is officially obsolete, there’s no stock that I can find anywhere.

To be fair, a lot of the parts for that dryer are no longer available so I reckon your only option is to replace it with a new tumble dryer.

Re: WIS24140GB/07 Flashing Start/Pause light and not startin

I’m not familiar with the machine but normally symptoms like that will indicate some issue with the mains supply, the door interlock (as that’s the first thing it will power up) or the board/s.

    Re: AKZ146/IX Temperature

    It’s actually very sensible.

The cooling fan draws in cool air from the room, blows it over the cavity and onto the control panel and door meaning that they stay reasonably cool to touch. Without it, they’d be toasting hot.

That’s why they run almost all of the time.

Re: Bosch Exxcel 1200 Express poor spin

I think that is the filter, it’s the part that you pull out to see the pump impeller.

Next stop is probably the carbon brushes in the motor but we’d need the ENR or model number to tell you what ones it was etc.

    Re: AKZ146/IX Temperature

Generally speaking, they will usually either work or not work, there’s little in between.

Almost any domestic oven will cycle by at least 10-15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} around the set temperature and each has it’s own characteristics for example, I found that a Smeg oven tended to run hot, others run colder and so forth. Airflow patterns change and so on as well. Therefore cooking in them is often just a case of getting used to the particular quirks of each as there are differences, just as it is for cookwares.

Those sensors cannot be calibrated, there is no adjustment.

And, yes, the cooling fan will run virtually all the time.
