    I’ve heard the best time is 45 minutes and as Ken says the rear panel MUST be replaced.
    I’ve also heard of Hotpoint following up and doing spot checks on stuff that’s been modified,I assume to avoid anyone not doing the full mod.
    The issue has to be the last person that looked at it is responsible for the unit as a whole,may be worth you ringing Hotpoint as an engineer and asking there advice as to what should be fitted

    unplug and remove the cover on the top that covers 2 circuit boards ,look at the smaller one of the 2 ,it has fuse in it that will have blown ,from memory its a slow blow so you will have to find one of exactly the same rating from maplins or somewhere

    What do you mean by starts again ,do you mean you can push the start button and away you go ,or does it just start of its own accord ?once you reset either the RCD or MCB
    bit of a long shot but also look for a TOC embedded in a white case ,check there isn’t a hairline crack in it causing a track to earth as it expands with the heat

    You won’t get one Swan parts are as rare as hens teeth ,you could try NESN as they do the warranty work

    Normally 2 working days ,8/9 calls a day.
    No weekend work
    We accommodate work times etc by doing early or late calls ,ring 30mins B4 etc
