the cooking fans only run when you are using ,if the noise continues after you have finished cooking and turned the appliance off then its your cooling fan you need

You use a Martindale though don’t you Martin ? If we come across a burnt socket we do tests on the appliance fit a new mains lead and tell them to get the socket replaced by a spark as they can test the integrity of the circuit that the socket is on.

There are lots of options to how you source work
Work providers, insurance companies, direct working for manufacturers all have there place
You then have companies that flood the internet and source work in your area that they then pass on to you at a fee per job.
Then again you have the free engineer search on here and as a WTA member you are entitled to be on that free engineer search as well.
You then have good old fashioned cash work, sourced via word of mouth, flyers, yellow pages and your own website.
It’s horses for courses the trick is to not be solely dependent on one source sorry if I’ve gone off topic

The other thing to be aware of is the new fan motors have an earth tag on the bracket that isn’t used ,in some cases we have had a vibration through the back panel after fitting a new motor and fan.
Just remove the tag and it goes away

All accepted Martin ,however in some quarters this work is being touted as manna from heaven, when the reality is there are so many potential pitfalls with it and this scenario is just one .

Once you have the facia off look for a screw on either side going outwards .
Remove them and then the whole deck lifts and hinges at the back .
You Don’t need to touch the gas taps.
You will need to have the cooker removed from the slot though as you need to gain rear access
