ParticipantRe: Bosch ETL6103GB/01 Not heating
Thanks for your help. Will go back tomorrow. Wonder why they give ntc values at 10 deg; maybe everyone in Deutchland keeps their dryer in the garage. Hmm, that’s given me an idea for a new way to test thermistors. Got one of those cold gel packs somewhere. 😉

ParticipantRe: Bosch WTL6103GB/01 Not heating
Had same fault on same model today. Element reading OK. Re-settable overheat stat not tripped. NTC reading 25kohms at room temp.
Could not remember how to get fascia off – only seen one other like it before. And what’s that at 5 o’ clock pos’n under porthole opening – visible with side panel removed? Could that be the problem?
Any help gratefully received.

ParticipantRe: Slow Carriers
I bought a refurb computer from a firm on e-bay on New Years day.
It took 11 or twelve days to be despatched because they had no delivery of boxes for packing. Then they sent it with DPD. I waited in all day Tuesday – no show.
Looked on tracking next morning it said parcel had been delivered and signed for with my surname at 16.20 Tuesday. 👿 👿
I rang them up and listened for half an hour to their announcement which told me how they’d won accolades for their quality of service blah blah… and got cut off twice. Finally got through and found out that parcel was back at depot (65 miles from here), previous day’s delivery had been contracted out to an “agency worker” who had “made a mistake” :rolls: and parcel would be with me later today. They actually rang the driver and got him to give a two hour window. Luckily it was the regular bloke and he arrived at his usual time – about 5.30pm.

Well, sounds as if Indesit have started making scanners.

If really desperate could ring espares and ask if that is their ES566640 £37.49. If they have it in stock but I guess they might be supplying from connect. 😥

Can’t find a cooker made by them but they do make lots of extractor hoods. You sure the number’s from the oven?

ParticipantRe: Stoves 720EF fan oven motor
Loads of 720’s on mediator but no EF. Seems to be just a colour coding.
Therefore try 081581800. Pretty standard looking motor, though. Could probably get away with some cheap alternative that you might already have in stock.

Have you got an account with Connect Distribution? The info is all on their site. Or PM me with your e-mail address.

ParticipantRe: White Knight Dryer tripping
I had one similar. Took it apart found no apparent fault. Put it all back together and left it working but advising cust that it would probably need new pump if recurring and that that would cost. Not heard from them again. Which is a great relief given the right PITA that dismantling and reassembling that thing was. Next time somebody calls me about one of those, I’m not gonna be available 😉 .

Special order from Connect. Their p/no 5045174164702 at £55.67 (“SRP £68.86” -worth checking that with Miele (01235)554455
or 0845 365 6605 if that first one’s no longer manned )

ParticipantRe: Beko WM5140W – pressure sw or module?
Had one like that. Wasted an hour and an extra visit trying a p/sw and doing the diagnostics which didn’t show anything. In the end got the new board which was only £25 trade/£45 retail (was a WMA510W or some such) and that sorted it. No sign of any damage to original board, nor any problem with other components. You can’t fault Beko on their parts prices at least. Cheap machines but cheap parts. Rather that than any Indesit product.
Had similar situation with Beko dishwasher too.

ParticipantRe: L.G Pump
Pumps on these are not that reliable. I’d remove front panel and try running pump from a flying lead to see if it runs OK or packs in. If it runs OK then I should think electronics are implicated. Otherwise could be something wrong with p/sw?

ParticipantRe: Candy Hob PLG3311 control knobs.
Is it a gas hob? There’s a PLC2230W which is nearest I can find on Connect. That gives 91670384 as part no. for one of the four identical knobs. Masterpart says that knob fits PL2230W, PL2230WARG, PL2238W, PL2250W, PL4230W, PL4250W, PLC2230W.
