If that’s the one with a pump each side of the filter, yes, ordinary Plaset will fit but original has a toc IIRC so best to choose replacement with one (cheapest is probably gen Hpt WMA.) Also be ready to extend wiring to fit. Also, if one’s gone other is probably about to.

Think that was a Hoover (o/c htr > no spin). Think BSH heater > 1 min on display. But I could be wrong. …. no, surely not??? 😆
BTW Were the brushes totally down?(One at least with dull face).

If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. Let’s all go set up round Gosport way 😆 .
In the early nineties, I worked for a short time as a trainer not so very far from there for an outfit that got clients through an ad in the Sun. It was well paid and the clients went home happy and full of confidence after three days. Even had the DSS sending a few on the course! It went bust when the paper pulled the ad ’cause they hadn’t been paid. The boss had spent it all on a Jag.

Drier element low insulation. Under the 40 Megohm. :rolls: Disconnect to see if machine then works. It’s quite usual for the dryer to continue to work in such circumstances ❗ . Change lock as well or it’ll blow the board when it goes next week.

    Re: Neff Integr. W/D V5360X0GB/01

I’m guessing a bit as I’m not familiar with this machine but a Bosch is a Bosch. Lock is first thing I’d look at if it’s not locking. I’d figure out which wire is which (may need to dismantle lock) and bridge it. If it’s not getting a neutral though, then there’s probably a burn out on the board.

Damp can cause this – look for condensation on motor brush holders.
Also check filter/sump in case it’s blocked.

Re: Creda T622CW tumble dryer ( condensor)

The self resetting stat, the one without a coloured spot, may have gone intermittent due to normal wear and tear. You should keep these kits in stock anyway because they’re a common fault. However, there are various reasons why these tumblers stop heating and there have been many discussions on here in the past about them. I would recommend spending at least an hour using the search facility with suitable terms, for example “cut out”, and reading results from trade technical enquiries of the past. It’s a fantastic resource and we are very lucky to have it. Being new to the business, you have a lot of catching up to do but you’ve found the right resource!

I guess they thought, “As we’ve got to have the laminated floor removed every time to get it out (£££) we might as well have a new one to lessen the likelihood of it having to come out again soon.” 😆

With motor being £168 odd incl vat 😯 trade from Connect, I think I’d agree. Had a Beko with same problem this week, they gave me the go-ahead for new motor at £110 RRP 😯 . I had a quick look and found a secondhand one on e-bay which was lucky. It’s on its way. (There was even a place in London selling “reconditioned” Beko motors, same part, for £34 incl post!)

For those who have kindly looked at this thread, I will update when job completed, successfully or otherwise.
    Mike.

Well, I went back with an 18k resistor of suitable size which I made up by twisting together resistors of higher value in parallell. I did a temp solder job to put it in because I wasn’t sure it was going to work. Sure enough, it didn’t work. I had carefully inspected the module for other damage including testing all triacs, rectifier, coil, some diodes and other resistors. Could not find a thing. Decided that the only way to eliminate module from calculations was to send it to EMW. So did so, sellotaping the burnt R64 to the heatsink.

Module came back with the original 18k (still badly burnt) soldered to the print side of the board.

I was a little doubtful that this was now going to work so rang Tony and expressed my doubts. He assured me that the resistor in question (although it had been o/c when I had removed it originally, remember) would be perfectly OK as it doesn’t have to carry much current. He reckoned they’d also resoldered a couple of dry joints too. He also assured me that the module would have been fully tested on a washing machine (not just a rig) before being sent out. I checked with him that if the fault then turned out to be elsewhere in the machine, I could let them have the module back and only pay the fiver or whatever it is. (So that I won’t be out of pocket at least.)
Returned to job yesterday, installed module, still same problem. No neutral anywhere. (On/off sw, lock and most other likely’s all been checked, bridged, rechecked previously remember.)
So tell customer she’s better off not throwing more money at it; not that I’ve charged her much.
She accepted that with a little persuasion, though it was a little difficult explaining to her that “her” module now no longer belongs to her (unless she wants to pay the full EMW repair charge).
So the module will be sent back on Monday and this little story will come to an end.
I’ll be thinking twice about future Servis module jobs, that’s for sure.
Thanks again for all the help and ideas put forward.

Hmm. 150ml can, how much space does it take up and what weight? Might be worth it in this weather I suppose.
Wouldn’t have saved me today though.. 3rd puncture in a week, stop to pump it up, unscrew valve locknut (presta) and it comes off 😕 , I drop it and lose it in grass :rolls: . 8 miles from home. Luckily only 3 jobs to do and all within a mile of there so hid and locked bike, walked round, and then took bus home.
Step on bus, single to Penzance please… £3.55 😯 . Nearly stepped back off again. Got to pay same again tomorrow to return with new tube (say £5). Expensive week!

If you tap in model no. and “sensor” to connect’s box you get five types of sensor. Mostly temperature but one says “sensor-ext” 😕
