Left hand menu, select appliance type. Select brand. Select model. Sometimes lists parts with OEM numbers, sometimes not 😕 .

Had a newish Miele which did that following damage to the door seal lip. Think if it dribbles from there it gets directed into the base.

Re: What’s happend to the specialist?

If you travelled everywhere by helicopter and got all your fuel for free, then specialising in one brand or type of appliance could work very well, even today.
If it worked in the past, maybe that was because there weren’t so many choices for the consumer so 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the machines out there might have been “Brand X”. And a washing machine cost a month’s wages to buy, not a week’s; so paying big money to fix it was worthwhile.

    Re: made to measure element

Wasn’t me but I remember reading it too and I can’t find it either but IIRC it was a very expensive service.
Can’t you find an ordinary oven element of a similar shape and spec, at least for the time being?

Re: New fan elements – half a megohm insulation.

Well I put one on top of a storage heater for two nights and a day. When I took it off and measured it still hot it was 68Mohm.
Couple of hours later after cooling it was 124Mohm.
Will leave it in a cool place and measure again in a day or two.

Couldn’t find anything wrong. Possibly running test programme and taking off a side panel caused it to revert to normal behaviour.

Ransome Spares still have it listed, though that’s no guarantee that they actually have any.

    Re: Bosch SHV 43A03GB/44

The flow to the spray arms alternates between top and lower. That’s what the diverter valve in the heater box does. Sounds as though there’s not sufficient spray pressure if detergent not getting washed out. Could be a bit of paper or plastic got into the water flow somewhere and blocking it intermittently. Could try operating with spray arms removed to try and flush it out.

    Re: Zanussi Interlock?

When Simon says “low” insulation on dryer element he doesn’t mean 1 megohm. 20M will be low enough. Just disconnect the element anyway and see what happens. And if it’s in a damp place check for condensation on motor brush holders which will also stop machine starting.

in reply to: Bosch Logixx SGS66A02/GB20 low water level #305124

Re: Bosch Logixx SGS66A02/GB20 low water level

Don’t know, don’t think so. But I think what happens normally is it fills up, trips the float switch and stops filling while the matrix drains down. Once drained, the float drops and it begins filling again. I think it’s on the third fill that when it reaches full and the switch trips the motor kicks in.
I have a strong suspicion that your float is sticking in the full position after first fill instead of dropping. Either that or the microswitch is faulty?

Re: Bosch Logixx SGS66A02/GB20 low water level

It’s ribbed, kind of semi-transparent. Don’t think you could mistake it for any other hose. Very common fault, but if you cleaned it already maybe it’s not that this time. Are you giving it time to fill and empty the matrix two or three times?
