If you knew the temperature it opens at, you could probably find a generic one from an electronics supplier such as RS or Farnell. The temp. might be written on the old one or might be determined by forced reset and testing.

ParticipantRe: Watch out for the dodgy doorstep salesman.
That very competent engineer known as “hotpnt” gave it up down here some months ago. He asked me if I’d be interested in a referral, which I politely declined. I guess they must be getting desperate by now and will have trawled all the advertising media.
💡 Maybe he’d been invited down to talk to one of my local competitors and having been rejected there, decided to do a bit of off the cuff campaigning.
A long established local independent shop has also recently closed.
Maybe if there’s someone working for them now who’d like to move down here this would be an opportunity.

Martin, I thought I had made it obvious which firm it was. I only needed to glance at the paper. I felt a little sorry for the poor chap. I mean who would want his job?

AWZ480E. To get mediator you have to go via the side menu, tumble dryer > whirlpool > choose model > part list.

Don’t know if this is your bit, and it’s OOS anyway, but looking down the list on mediator there is a part called, “bracket-idler” 5031684755448.

ParticipantRe: bosch d/w not emptying
Pumps on these empty straight from sump don’t they? Some even have inspection cover in sump which can be removed by customer if they RTM.
(BTW, won’t empty with inspection cover off.) I’d be looking first at the other end – sink waste spigot?

Are you a vegetarian Mike ? 🙂Well, used to be, almost crusadingly. But I don’t get too agitated about it now. Now I eat meat if someone serves it up at a dinner invite (of which I get hundreds of course 😆 ) partly to avoid having to explain why not.

Have you tried going through mediator and looking at models with similar numbers? You can view exploded diagrams and then refer to list below with OEM part no.s

ParticipantRe: Asko W/M
Connections part number 5031689518864 £47.58.
I think UKWG also uses the connections part no.
I did one of these many years ago in pre-UKW days when Asko parts were just unobtainable. Managed to make a Philips pump motor fit using instant gasket/silicone/debor/epoxy putty or some such and wire to hold it together. Worked fine and I believe machine is still working. Been recommended a few times by that customer.

White spot is the toc, so the other one must be ntc.

Is this a wind up?
I expect you mean electo-mechanical.
Only faults I’ve ever seen on these have been with (“safety”)water valves or blocked blue tubes / horseshoe hoses. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if you find it all bunged up with horrible greasy fat originating from a meat rich diet. Pressure switch or safety valve taking ages to reset to empty due to constricted arteries, er I mean tubing.

ParticipantRe: bosch WFL246
That’s unusual. It’s always been a solenoid down when I’ve had this on a Bosch 😕 . One thought occurs to me from the enormous number of hours I’ve spent reading posts on here, and it could be an absolutely ridiculous suggestion but I seem to remember some connection between worn down brushes and no fill on certain machines. Could be worth a look if no one comes up with a better answer.
