Yep, common fault. Confirm by disconnecting element and it works OK.

I’ve got a 2819710600. It’s for a WM6152w IIRC. It is a different part but looks the same and perhaps would do the job till the right one arrives. They’re both analogic and look to me to have the same connector. The difference in the pics on Connect is in the orientation of the bracket but the part I have matches the orientation you need. 😕
Also how different can they be? Only going to be slight differences in drum size/capacity.
You’re welcome to it if you like. Connect have it in stock too.

in reply to: Indesit Washer WIDL126 washing endlessly #296696

Re: Indesit Washer WIDL126 washing endlessly

I think the thermistor reading is OK. It would give an error code if not anyway. Don’t think there’s an overheat stat, just the thermal fuse in element.
Perhaps there could be a dry joint or poor connection at the module. Or perhaps a heater connector is gone brittle and intermittent. I wouldn’t be too surprised if it turned out that the element is going o/c when it gets to 35 then cutting back in when it cools, ad infinitum. Have had such strange things occur, though very rarely.

Re: Indeist WIE167 1600 sits there on wash, rinse/spin OK.

Well, heater was open circuit. No sign of a reason for that. P/sw not blocked and must be functioning OK, otherwise it would give an error code. Ntc OK too. Will replace element and hope it was just having a bad day.
    Thanks again for info, Jim.

Great, thanks Jim. Looks like it might be a nice easy morning then and then a stroll in the sunshine afternoon. 😀

You can get exploded diagrams on e-shop. Go to http://www.boschcustomerservice.com and click on spare parts for Bosch.

    Re: LG wash element

Connect are the only reliable trade source I know of for LG parts. Seme were good but no longer much use. If you tap in “LG heater wash laundry” to connect’s search box it’ll give you some results to consider.
You could ring them or e-mail to get confirmation of fit.

There’s some info in your inbox, if that’s the right e-mail. 😉

in reply to: Hotpoint WF860 Mains Filter. #296604

    Re: Hotpoint WF860 Mains Filter.

Those filters go for fun. Nice easy peasy job. Not worth fitting a Beko equivalent which is still a fiver anyway and you have to find some way to attach it; just go for the nine quid gen part.
Check where the black wire comes from on the filter; if it connects to the earth on the filter (check ohms between R and the terminal where the earth wire connects to on new part) then presumably it did come from the motor earth, but it would be wise to get a diagram. PM the resident Hotpoint specialist? The one who’s proud of his county 😉 .

    Re: LG wash element

😕 The HPT part has a thermal fuse in the element, you just leave the ntc unconnected. The LG will have its own ntc elsewhere. Are these yellow wires additional to the normal heater connections? If they go to a thermal fuse, it should be that that is o/c not the element 😕

2822640073 @ Connect £28.79 I’d explain to customer that there’s no way to be sure without trying it and get them to take the financial risk or at least a portion of it.

Re: LG GR-B207DXZA goes dead after 10 secs

It’s true that Seme still have some LG spares, but they’ve been winding down the whitegoods side for some time and you need to tap in the part number to find anything at all. And then it’ll probably be out of stock. Connect seem to have a bit more.

    Re: Whirlpool 3RLEQ8033SW1

Had a look around but 178 is a difficult temperature to find for a thermal fuse or cut off of any description. 🙁 . I’ve a feeling manufacturers use these odd values for this very reason. 👿 (Like HTP’s 106). I’ve a feeling it could be flexible but not too much obviously.

    Re: LG wash element

Presumably you have seen the old one? If it’s the 2000w 300mm one as commonly used on the eight year old machines then a 2100w Hotpoint WM heater fits perfectly and is 1/3 the price.
