    Sitting down?

£75.46 plus the usual. SRP£102.10. Special order. Connect has 40816067 complete door. Presumably door frame alone would be still more difficult.
If you’re going for it check it yourself with Mediator first as it’s not totally clear and there’s no returns. 🙁
Ah,however, just noticed door glass is listed as available seperately, so think it might be worth putting in a PNE. Judging by the way they’re answering the phone quite quick they might not take too long.

    Re: AEG Tumble Dryer

Is it the one with the humidity sensor which measures resistance through the damp washing? If so, it’ll work empty on a timed programme but will need a damp load in to work on auto. Hope this wasn’t just stating the obvious – caught me out once.

Well, obviously they’re coming down here to avail themselves of the highest quality appliance repairs they’ve heard so much about. 😆

Got mine at Lidl ’bout a year ago, (not quite same bit less technical looking, made for consumers). Have used it at home for energy monitoring but always forgot to take it with me on the road. Thanks for the reminder, I’ll take it to next t/dryer job.

    Re: very shocking

I have used e-bay a few times now and there are some good sellers on there but for most parts Connect is still cheaper. :duck:
I guess with a huge operation like they have it isn’t possible to be flexible enough to track all of the competition all of the time, and Baumatic stuff is fairly unusual so they could easily be out of date with prices there if they bought stuff in a while ago. I looked up a Baumatic fan element the other day and it was £48.71 but they gave alternatives down to £20. Comparing these with others and with help from elementman.co.uk’s site
I was able to ascertain that it was basically a simple three turn Lux element which I already had in stock and costs £6 (trade or e-bay) £50 (SRP).
Also, and this is an important point, if you have an order for two or three parts only at connect and it is under a certain threshold value, (not sure what) they will post it 1st class for £3.50 + vat. You have to order by phone for this though, not available via web. They answer quickly now though – they’re not busy either!

How old is it? Brushes are the most common fault on older ones. (IMLE)
=in my limited experience. Guess you must live in a hard water area as you’re checking pressure switches.

PS, You’ll get fewer replies if you don’t give a model no.

From a health and safety / insurance viewpoint I’d think it would be a bit dodgy undertaking work like that on a cash in hand basis.

I did a quick google and found this – at least there’s a number to try.
    Sovereign 01527 578333

Also, I gather Sovereign may have morphed into Crown Dom Apps 0844 882333 (not sure what rate that no. would be). :rolls:

I understand you’ve got a difficult balancing act. Can’t please ’em all 😉 . I think it’s good to have this discussion from time to time about where the line should be drawn.
